Fishing big island HI need recommendations

That’s what I was told when we were there as well. We went with a buddy in Maui. Caught a mahi and my wife fought a giant blue marlin for about an hour and a half. They figured it was 700#. That was fun. Definitely not the place to go if you wanna catch a bunch of fish. It’s really expensive compared to other charters I’ve been on as well.

    Leupold Props!

Leupold has been good to work with the times I’ve needed them. Same for vortex. The problem I have with all the “no questions asked” warranty company’s is getting their products to last. When I was in college I worked for scheels selling hunting and fishing gear. We had the same warranty on our fishing rods. People gobbled them up. The high end ones were $199 and our cost on them was around $35. We could give away 5 of them and still make a profit. The same $200 G Loomis rod cost was well over $100. The g Loomis was a better rod but we sold far more scheels branded rods for the warranty. I’ve owned around a dozen leupold products and had unsolicited problems with 3 or 4. Only owned two vortex products and had trouble with one of the two. I’ve owned a ton of swaro stuff and only had to send them in twice. Both times I dropped them and broke the lenses. They charged me a fee to fix it and I was happy as a clam. Never had an unsolicited problem with them though.

Bull elk tag for sale. Unit 10 New Mexico Archery tag

Meat is near the top of the list of why I hunt, but that being said, if you’re going hunting to save money you aren’t very good at math, even with OTC resident priced tags.

    Corner crossing in AZ

Correct. That’s posted for hunting purposes. The problem is, No Trespassing just requires “reasonable notice of the owners prohibiting entry” which can be a verbal notice, or a sign and there’s no set amount of signs for that infraction. So essentially if there’s a sign on a piece of property saying “No Trespassing” and you’re on it, they can prosecute you in the criminal system (off to the side of the Game and Fish enforcement).

    Corner crossing in AZ

“No hunting” and “No Trespassing” are two different things. There’s a legal definition for posting land to hunting that the game and fish regulates. If you violate this you are in violation of a hunting rule and it is enforced by the game and fish. Trespass is a criminal offense and it is enforced by whatever body polices the area. Usually a county sheriffs office. The definition of trespass is going somewhere that you have been notified by the owner that you aren’t suppsed to go. One single “No Trespassing” sign can cover an entire ranch from a legal standpoint and if you are in there and they press charges you will lose. The burden of knowing what land you are on is on your shoulders. There’s a million good options out there to know where you are every second. I think AZ is one of the last places for that to catch on because it’s one of the few places you can go out and just hunt and not have to worry about being on private in most areas.

    Swarovski EL 12x50 Dealers

I’ve bought quite a few different high end optics from Eurooptic as demos and I honestly think they were all brand new. I think they use it as a loophole to get around the swaro price fix thing. If they get overstocked on something they just say it’s a demo and then they can put it on “sale”.

    Begara vs. Christensen

I’d run away from Christenson. I’ve been around a couple and I wouldn’t own one. Bergara is on the marketing hype train with hornady and vortex, but then again so is the creedmoor cartridge. If it’s for coues deer at short to medium range it’s a good cartridge, especially for women and kids. I personally would look for a good used custom rifle in a 6.5 PRC or similar but that’s just me.

    Taxidermy Collection Found On Craigslist

I agree. Every time I write a check to the taxidermist I always thing “man that thing is gonna look good hanging in a Famous Dave’s someday”. Keeps it grounded that life isn’t permanent and that stuff is really only for me and my memories. I hope someday if I die young my family and friends will all take a mount or two that means something to them and remember me by it. That being said the goal would be to make it long enough to where no one really gives a shoot about your mounts when you’re gone.

    Corner crossing in AZ

In that situation going with what the WM said is fine, but had that gone any further you would have lost, or atleast the ranch owner would not have had any charges stick for harassment. OnX is not accurate enough to corner cross. IF you are going to corner cross you need to find the boundary pin and step directly over it. OnX even has you check off that you understand that it is not accurate enough and you are liable. Not saying I agree with it, but that’s the fact.

Its Time To Change the Arizona Bonus Point System

I hate to break it to you but you must have messed up your app. 20c either hunt should be so far past guaranteed with 12 points it’s not funny. I’m assuming you’re maybe trolling with this post though because I’m not sure who would put that hunt with 12 points? I would log into the portal and check your hunt codes because you didn’t put anyone in with 12 points for those choices and not draw. A few thoughts 1) did you add her to a party with a bunch of people with low to no points? 2) accidentally put hunt codes down for youth hunts she wasn’t qualified for? 3) mistake how many points she has? 4) just flat mess up and she’s not in the draw at all? There’s a lot of conspiracies out there about things but fact of the matter is if you have the points and have your stuff straight on the app you’ll get the tag.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist or anything, but I can’t help but notice that all of these “late hits” came at the exact time when my CC charge from Tuesday went from “pending” to completed. My theory is late hits are extremely rare and the lions share of them are just people who’s charges only show up after they are completed rather then pending. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Its Time To Change the Arizona Bonus Point System

There was a kid in my high school that showed up randomly to our small town from lord knows where for a year or so then disappeared into the sunset before we graduated. He was a real white rapper if you know what I’m saying. A real gang banger in our town of 45 people. His name was Geoff, but we all called him Gee Off. I can’t see that name without thinking that anymore. He’s probably out there DJing for Ludacris or something right now. Or in jail.

Anybody ever hunted Utah cow elk

Most ranches are wanting cows killed and they range from $1500-3000 including the tag from what I’ve seen. Same in NM. It depends on what you want out of it. If you want the DIY satisfaction then applying for a general cow tag in Utah and figuring it out would be a good call. If you want to get out and see some cool country and a ton of game the private cow hunts are the ticket. They will be quick and probably as close to a guarantee as you can get. Most of the time they aren’t gonna shoot any where you can’t get a ranger or truck to so your meat yield and handling will be easier and better. I’ve found the cows that come off private hay fields to taste exceptional too! That all being said, $1500-3000 is a lot of money that could be spent toward draws for bull hunts, landowner tags etc.
