I knew the minute I saw this pic that someone was going to start calling it a whitetail or a hybrid. Every mule deer with eyeguards starts this same dang conversation!!

Dove season is just around the corner -
If I had to choose between those two, I would definitely go with the vortex, and then sell it and buy a Leica and be done with it. I don't know anyone who's owned anything other then a Leica (except maybe the Swaro which IMO is overpriced and too big) that has been happy with it. Just my two cents that'll save you a bunch of cents!

I don't think anyone asked what unit it was in? I believe Eli asked if he had a tag to go after it, which was what I was wondering when I saw the pic, I always like following someone in their scouting if they have a tag, makes it more exciting. Besides, no offense to this buck, but my guess is any auction hunter isn't overly interested in an 78-83" buck like this one. It's a nice buck, but my guess is won't score that crazy high unless his prongs are way better then they appear to be.

Shoot the crossbow heads, they are awesome. The groove is deeper so they retain the blades way better when stalking or putting in a quiver.

I think a lot guys don't know how to check for "pending transactions" on their cc website. If you do it'll show up almost instantly. That's why every draw we end up with guys getting hit several days later, they just didn't see it under pending transactions and noticed it as it went through as a completed transaction which can take up to a week.

Lifetime license question for you guys.
yotebuster replied to RoughCut's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Best $700 I ever spent Side question on same topic: has anyone ever drawn a tag not available too NR on a lifetime license? Like a unit 1 early archery or any other tag that all the NR tags go to max point pool without max points? The reason I ask is that I have been putting tags like that on my app since moving (strip rifle, bighorn units with only 1 tag etc) but I have to check NR on the app when I fill it out and want to make sure their system actually works and I'm not throwing choices away. I called them to ask how they know that if I have to check NR on the App that I get put into resident pool and she said the computer sorts us into it base on the "LH" at the beginning of our license number. So has anyone ever drawn a tag like that as a NR using a lifetime license? -
I have a 2.5-16 bushnell 6500 on an AR. Seemed like the ultimate calling scope for anything from 25 yard brush shots to long across canyon stuff. Seems to be ok, my only complaint is there is a LOT of edge distortion in mine. It starts much farther from the edge if the scope then most do, if say only the middle 50% of the scope is "flat" and anything past that gets curved bad.

I always thought 40 pigeons in hand were worth 80 in the bush, but apparently I was wrong, they're worth $120

Dirty tactics once again from the AZGFD! Now you'll know why to never trust them
yotebuster replied to bonecollector777's topic in The Campfire
That's exactly what we need!!! WRONG!!! Why would you want the media dealing with this? Yes it is corrupt, but they are going to go after like the media always does, from an anti hunter perspective, it's just more ammo for them.
