Where are the Rifle tag pics?????

Hey Seldom, due to obligations with one of the special Coues tags we decided to book only a couple Elk clients this year. We had an incredible archery hunt in 9 and almost killed "Scratch" (aka Rhino) ourselves but like many times in the past we just didn't have that last bit of luck on our side! We've hunted that bull hard for as long as Mossback has and I can tell you that was the smartest bull I've ever hunted by far and I bet they'll agree!!! I don't know of any other bull that's had that long of a run with the best elk hunters in the state after em'! As much as I hate seeing Mossback's logo on that picture, I gotta say they earned it and I'm happy it was them and not just some random hunter that had no clue what he killed. Congrats to them and the hunter, I know they all honor and respect that bull as much as I do! JIM> As always Jim, you are a stand up guy!! I don't think there's anyone on here that wouldn't have rather seen Mullins get that bull!!

    Pool Service wanted

Looking for a pool service in Glendale, cross streets are 59th and 101. My current service has been getting shady on me. The house is a rental and I need someone to do a better job. Would like to get someone in the CWT community if possible. Thanks!

    Lost bull 4b?

Anyone hit a bull and lose it in 4B? My buddy found a dead bull up there yesterday. Let me know where and what and maybe we can help ya find it. It was a big bull for that unit.

    Lost bull 4b?

He already did. Long story short, someone sawed the head off the bull and took it. This guy found a headless bull that he says is his and "he can prove it" and called the game warden to harass my buddy during his hunt about taking the bull. The bull that we even went so far as to try to find the owner of on this site. Not being satisfied with calling the warden on my friend, he then harassed them himself the next night about it. Good grief. Kind of a shame that when you go out of your way to try to help someone get a lost bull back you get this kind of crap.

Haha. You should hunt general season Montana or Colorado sometime!!! You'll be happy to just hear an elk.

    Lost bull 4b?

Hey Rookiearcher. Unfortunately this was about 15 miles from there. I know that area well, it's a good spot but this bull was in a different area. He thought it looked like it got a horn in the paunch but wasn't sure if it maybe was an arrow. I figured I'd try as I'd he sick to loose a bull like that.

    13A Strip DIY

There's a LOT of country out there to waste your time looking, scouting, and camping. You drew the best muley tag in the US, hire a guide, or atleast get a scouting package as said before.

    geese

Looks like a cackler Canada to me, the bigger one is an interior greater Canada. There are tons of different subspecies of Canada's. we have Richardson Canada geese here in ND and they are smaller then a mallard.

Advice Please - Wary, Mature Coues Bucks

This is exactly how I feel, I didn't do such a great job of wording it the first time but this is what I was thinking of doing with the second tree stand. I figure that the bucks ARE going to come back to check things out, they may or may not want the salt at the stand, but if anything, they will be coming on by and may want to take a look as curious as they are.. That curious look upwards toward the stand may be the perfect opportunity.. I would put up a blind where you have a easy shot on the salt and stay the heck out of there for a few days. I haven't hunted out of a treestand for 10+ years and probably won't for the rest of my life, wind has considerably less effect when in a blind with the windows closed. That's the other thing, leave a window or two open with shooting lanes but that's it, you'll have time for watching nature after you fill your tag. I don't think the bucks are coming back because they are curious to see if you are in your stand, or because they are passing through, they are coming there to eat the salt, plain and simple, and will come in and eat it if they don't smell you.

    XX

At least he doesn't like Obama and Oprah!
  18. I haven't hunted off post before, but my guess is the deer get less pressure then they do on post. They pound them during the dec rifle hunt on there. 125 dec tags on that little place.
  19. I would double check that. As far as I know civilian contractors and their family's can hunt. The big fat dude that gives out the gun permits at the gate used to hunt every year, and he was a civilian. I know this cuz he used to give me crap about hunting on there as a guardsman. Used to piss me off because he was a civilian giving me a hard time.

    E-Scouting

Soooo. I drew a 13B gun tag on my 17th choice with 38 preference points, never stepped foot in the unit, looking for nothing less then a 270"er. I don't have a quad or a 4x4, only one leg, can't afford a guide, and don't have time to scout. Can you guys help me out?!? Not looking for anyone's honey hole, I'd like EVERYONE'S honey hole.
