well right now the only thing exciting about this weather as long as it nasty throught the next day or so, that first sunny morning should be fill with activity.

When i got engage is when it all started. I was diagnosed with a rare disease, "Buck fever", who would have guessed??? the doc said some coues hunters get. he said it's usually a seasonal aliment but in some cases it can turn into a terminal illness.... when this occured in my past cases it usually is a quick painless death he replied . symptoms inclucde day dreaming, Hilusination, shaking, grunting, hiding in trees and bushes, exsesive spending, nagging wife, thats when i knew i was really sick and started stressing hard, but then he did comfort me a little when he said "don't worry your last moments will be wonderful it usually starts with a very comforting surrounding, there will be plenty of your favorite beer, nice meal and really over powering aroma that will excitingly be vey arousing and then you'll feel a slight bump on the shoulder and it will be all over. trust me you'll never know she was there". the has yet to get me

went out friday and gave up over the weekend with the wind but wish i would have gone out today I love cold breezy weather with a little rain as long as its not to drerry deer run around all day think I'm gonna try to give it a shot tomorrow but I heard the rain is coming as it was suppose to today but never showed up. i'm gettin real sick of carrying this tag around for the past year arrows are gonna start flyin at anything with horns if something does happen soon.

first and for most ? where did you hunt one mini will not do the job in az. these ducks have been shot at throughout 4-5 states already. set out a doz. dekes or so and some good calling you'll get a response, this is a tough duck state. right time right place plays a big part. +1 some people love the work of hunting, some people are lazy, some people don't know what a animal looks like but want to kill one. It's all part of the sport. I personlly like watching the hunting shows where some fat Bastard can barley walk 500yds panting like a dog and about falls on himself the whole time and when he bags his game he's so proud, now how would that guy have done it without his guide. whatever floats your boat

sept/aug hunt is usually water or spot and stalk, water is very boring so i usually do the spot and stalk, as i do this in dec./jan. aswell. this year i will be rattling, calling, using scents to try to lure the bucks that last 100yards(red zone). the rut hunt is awesome but all the extra eyes and ears make it very easy to get busted. I've heard of guys being very successful with these tactics so i'd figure it's worth a shot. I've heard of some guys just finding the hot doe and sticking close to her and sooner or later the buck will present himself.

sounds like your set up is fine, if your shooting consistent i'd stick with it. If your blowing through shoulders that is enough to take down any AZ game What is you arrow weight. minus the broadhead and what arrows are you shooting. you might be able to switch to another arrow that is stiffer and lighter and get better velocity without losing any KE.

it only takes about 40 lbs of kentic energy to penatrate a deer if that on a coues, i'd go with a lighter arrow and keep your velocity, my buddy shot his deer last year with his x force with a total arrow weight of 350 grain/with tip(extremely light) and it blew threw both both shoulders, on an elk def. want more energy. but the faster that arrow gets there that less time the animal has to react, on the otherhand the light arrow will not fly as good in windy conditions, and the stability of the arrow as it leaves to bow can get a little wobbily, try to find that perfect medium of weight and velocity, With your set up (not knowing very much) a 285fps with a total arrow weight of 375-385 your KE should be from 70-80lbs, which will maximize you speed and have more then enought KE to slam your game. Practice in the off season and try stalking the deer, not just the bucks, but the does as well. 75% of the time does/cows will be the ones that bust you everyone is giving great advise, another tip is shoot your rifle/bow at distance a little beyond your comfort and continue to push you ability to hit your target. practice as much as you can. between good stalking tactics and being able to make a longer shot will will increase your odds greatly. Don't limit yourself to a few units there's deer and elk all over our state.

yeah get ready for some action the dec. and january hunt are awesome times to be out chasing these coues family had the late nov. and there was already a lot of sign of pre rut activity. try not to get into to big of a hurry on your hunts the big bucks mate first and then the little ones chase the doe around a lot more in jan. late decemeber you should see a lot of stout buck runnin around. good luck on your hunts.

so far i've used the kind that don't bring deer in everytime i bring one I've never used it get to caught up in old tactics. I told myself that this year i was really going to start playing around with one so if I find one I'll let ya know................Ps if you find one fill me in
