That's some cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Ok, I'm bored. Lets see some pictures of some of the cool stuff found while out in the mountains and deserts. Here are a few of the ones I've found. My "Number One rock". This pic makes it look like it is inset but the other pic shows it is raised. Don't know if it is man made or nature wore it away. Either way it is pretty unique. The next one looks like a face (to me it does) from the shoulders up.Third one is a rock with a red core going all the way thru. My favorite arrowhead -all quartz. Found it while archery hunting elk in unit 10 many years ago. When I found it I imagined an Indian hundreds of years ago hunting this same spot and wondered if he was able to feed his family with it. I went home hungry. Lets see what you guys have?!

Do you mean that "News" channels are reporting disinformation. I'm Shocked. Shocked I tell you. Here's a tip---if CNN or MSNBC reports a story for only a few moments and never brings it up again, it's probably true. However if they bring on an all star panel to dissect a story all the while assigning new meaning to established terms, it's gotta stink to high heaven. Some examples--marriage doesn't mean what it has meant for centuries and if you disagree you're a bigot. Impeachable offenses now mean whatever they say it means-not specific laws that were violated. Racists are now anyone that disagrees with their perspective. Freedom of speech doesn't apply to college campuses- just try to invite a conservative to speak to the childrens and see if they can make it to safety. Trump is to blame for all these deaths because he didn't act soon enough and relied on bad modeling. (Insert your rant here) Okay I'll breath now. Feel much better . Thanks for letting me get that out. Happy Friday.

Tactics in brutal heat: August OTC season.
bigbuckfever replied to 180ls1's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Start glassing by first available light cause they will find a shady place to bed pretty early in the morning. Remember, they're wearing a thick fur coat. (Unless you're in the pines, they will be more active there) Water is the best advice I could give--you just have to find a tank that doesn't have a quad riding up to it ten times a day. -
Nothing new in my account. Looks like I have to "self stimulate"...again?!

P&Y score was gross 89 and (the other score I don't care about -net 87 2/8). He is the biggest forky I have ever seen. He was trying to sprout another point but didn't quite get there. Oh well, I love it just like it is. -

Thanks Edge, I did the scratch test and it leaves a colored mark when scratched on the dark part but not really when scratched on the inner silver part that is exposed from sanding.

I'm a little late on seeing this thread but I saw a flash of light out my back patio doors about 5:30 am on Feb 25th. Only lasted about half a second but it lit up my whole back yard. I went out to see if a helicopter was flying over but nothing in the air . Found out it was on the news and showed up on doorbell cameras in the valley. (I live in Chandler). Has anybody heard if there was a debris field? I found this in my back yard the other day. It was in my rock area by my garden beds and I have never noticed it before despite spending a great deal of time around the garden. It is pretty heavy for its size (approx. 1 1/2"long and 3/4 " wide. It weighs 2 oz. I thought it was lead when I picked it up. I took some sand paper to the side to see what would happen and it is silver or nickel in color. It is very magnetic. I soaked it in white vinegar to see if it was rust coated but it didn't do anything. Could be a broken tooth from trenching tool covered in something beside rust? (I say this because of the shape, it looks kinda man made with flat sides) What , besides rust, would collect to a piece of metal and be fused on? I'd like to think it's a Meteorite? I could be all wet on this but I have to find out what it is. Anyone know someone who is local that could look at it and tell if it is a meteorite?

Can someone explain how G&F operate the left over tag drawing process? Do they open all the envelopes and deposit your check and toss the app in a bin and draw one app at a time until they fill them? Do they just drop all envelopes in a bin until the 23 and open them until all are filled? What happens if your app arrives prior to the 23, do they not accept it and toss it in the garbage? Any solid info would be appreciated.

How does G&F handle the left-over tag draw?
bigbuckfever replied to bigbuckfever's topic in The Campfire
Thanks Eddie. I just got off the phone with G&F. They say you have to try and time the delivery of the mail to the phoenix office listed so it arrives Monday morning the 23rd from wherever you mail it from. If it shows up before Monday morning it gets rejected for the draw. If it gets there Tuesday, it's too late. Hope I'm one of the lucky ones to time it right. -
Sorry for the sideways pic , I couldn't get it to turn. Some day I'll learn how to use a computer
