Sometimes you can glass a slope for hours and not see one , but when one does finally show itself , it's magical. Congrats and good job sticking it out

When the river bottom flooded and Mill ave Bridge was one of only two places to cross. Sitting in traffic to get home (with a six pack to help kill the time-relax, there were two of us and we were young and bulletproof) When Apache Trail was the main East- West route in the east valley

The first time I had lion meat, I was surprised how delicious it was. I get a lion tag every year in January when I get my archery deer tag.

My solo thrilling, frustrating and exciting hunt!

Congrats on a really nice buck. Time to start getting the bow ready for January! -
You must have been shooting them in clover to still see their tails at point. JK, I know that breed can be pretty tenacious.

Looks like a great time. I've been pheasant hunting one time and loved it. Don't think we used wiener dogs though. LOL

$$$ SOLD -- 1985 Arizona Wildlife Trophies
bigbuckfever replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Classified Ads
My very first deer I ever shot was in 1985. It was a large Coues that grossed 126 and netted 115 4/8. It received 2nd place that year (I informed the AWF that my official score card had an error that I found and no one else had noticed, and it lowered my first place deer from 118+ to 115 3/4) and I was awarded the first ever "Honorable Mention" trophy by The AZ Wildlife Federation. They said that the new category of Honorable Mention was meant for just this sort of situation. If I hadn't already bought my copy back then, I would scoop up one of these. Best of luck selling them. Doug. -
I love mine, plenty comfortable and room to roll around a little

-i discovered that pulling on big tuna I haven't heard of that one before, but I have heard it called "flogging the dolphin"

I hate the wind. I wont even say that word when I'm hunting or working. I'm a painter and the wind can ruin my day trying to mask and spray exteriors. I refer to it as "the W word, or Mariah, but I wont say it out loud. We all have our issues and the W word is one of mine. -
Those are two nice Coues bucks- I can see why you loved it. Congrats to both of you.

Now that's a shooter. Nice!!!

Happy Birthday Marines!!! My father spent the last 3years of his 20 serving at the Pentagon in charge of recruiting from 1970, 71, and 72. He was the one responsible for implementing two slogans for the Marines that, as you can see, they still use to this day. "The Few. The Proud. The Marines" and "We're looking for a few good men". Lt. Col. David L. Althoff , ret.

Awesome buck and great write-up, thanks for sharing. There's nothing like putting in the effort and having it pay off. -
Awesome. Gonna be some good eating. And a little payback for a few of the guys on CWT.

Maybe in January???

Hey congrats, I can see why you'd shoot him. Very nice.

Recognize that each person under you has their own set of problems in their personal life. You'll soon spot the one's that can't keep the two separate. Mentor the one's you feel you can get through to and get rid of the bullchitters as soon as possible, before they pee in the pool. Watch for "that guy" who comes down with what my old boss called "the Budweiser flu" and leaves you hanging at the worst possible time. You are now a role model-accept that and lead by example without being arrogant. Congrats on the new position and I hope it gives you more time in the woods.

Is this hunt any buck or wt specific?
