Capturing Great Mountain Lion Photos with Trail Cameras
bigbuckfever replied to Healy Arms's topic in Mountain Lion
I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't be able to stay in that blind knowing a lion just went out of my sight when it's that close. Gives me the willies. -
Mine expires on Feb 2nd so I called and asked for clarification on how I should make sure I wasn't going to get kicked out if drawn. She said that if I buy my new license to start on the 3rd to do it online so their system will have the new number. If you buy it at a store that close to the end date and the draw then their system might not have it entered on time.

It's never easy to lose a good pet, sorry for your loss.

Something has to be done??? C'mon Trphyhntr, I love massive antlers as much as the next guy but sounds like you want to prevent someone else from hunting if they don't do it how you prefer. We all have our favorite style, or way, of hunting (archery, rifle, muzzy, long-range shooting, sitting water, spot and stalk etc). One of my hunting buddies doesn't care about antlers and has given away the antlers to all the deer he has ever taken, he is strictly a meat hunter. Sometimes I was willing to shoot the first buck I got a shot at cause I want the meat that year, and other times I have passed on the first buck to hold out for something a little bigger. We don't all have the same goals when it comes to hunting. You do you, and don't get your panties in a bunch if somebody else isn't doing it your way. Now, having said that, I hope you get a toad this year!

The attorney sounds like a horses arse looking for a reason to get chitty. My two cents.

Unit 10 early archery bull? 😁

This past month has been pretty incredible for me and two hunting buddies. We all three tagged out on opening weekend of the December archery hunt with three mulies. Not giants for sure, but all we were looking for was to get some meat, and we did. First time I've been in a camp and had more than one tag filled during the archery hunt. Jan 1st and we were back out looking for Coues. We all tagged out again. It was pretty surreal, and we are all still in shock how it worked out. To us, archery hunting any Coues bigger than a spike is a shooter, so we were all three ecstatic! Gonna need a new freezer.IMG_5165.HEICIMG_5222.HEICIMG

not sure why it only has the link and wouldn't load the pics.

If you're going to do spot n stalk, you might want to practice for AZ desert mountains by spreading a box of frosted flakes on the floor and try walking on them without making any noise. Only half kidding here. The best advice I got when I started hunting for Coues was "sore butts and tired eyes". Bring the best binos (and a tripod) you can afford. Have fun.

Congrats and thanks for sharing the story. -
MT looked like he was shuffling to and from a park bench. Getting old takes its toll.

Hope all the vets know how much this country owes them. Thanks to all that have served. This pic is of the pilots that flew around the blasts of atomic explosions at Bikini Islands measuring the radiation to see how far it would reach. They would wear the detection badges and return when they indicated maximum exposure. My dad said they would return, turn in their badges and get a new one and go back out. He is the front row on the far left. Lt. Col. David L Althoff USMC (ret) (He wasn't a Lt. Col. in this pic.)

Congratulations on your bull and the video showed how you dream it can happen with him coming in, bugling, stopping with a clear shot to the vitals, and you connecting. Pretty cool.

Really nice bull, congrats!
