My thoughts also, as I had the same intention. Now if Santa would just leave a Yamaha Grizzly under the tree, so Icould spend the 25 dollars. Doug, I take care of the 25 dollars...........lets hope Santa takes care of the Yamaha grizzly. Ernesto C

Almost a windy day dog!
Ernesto C replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Just a safety advice or reminder: if you are using one gun and quickly decide to switch to the other, do not forget to put the safety back on if you already took it off. Ernesto C -
What kind of truck you drive? Is that what I need to drive to kill a bobcat? Ernesto C

I have seen several times coyotes chasing deer and I know for a fact that coyotes and bobcats have a big impact on fawns (sp?) year round but specially the months of March to July! I dont think they will be a "whole lot more healthy" but I know they will do little better with a predator or two less to worry about. For example: Do you know how many deer a mountain lion kill in one year? Ernesto C

What makes a successful hunt for ..... YOU?
Ernesto C replied to WinMag's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Succesfull hunt to me is...........being able to go,have a good time and enjoy the oportunity while admiring Gods creations (wild life and landscape) being able to get there, hunt and return home safe. (you do not want to end up your hunt because an emergency at home or you do not want to have a broken leg while hunting). The killing is a bonus, a gift a blessing.......but just being able to do it is already a blessing. (I know some hunters that get frustraded if they dont kill) FAILURE is..........to see a buck you want several hundred yards away and not to go for it because you may think you will not find it again of because you are to lazy or tired. If you dont try......you already fail! Ernesto C -
Man what a buck! Are you sure on the score? looks bigger than 115. Ernesto C

Way to go! that's how you it suppose to be done. Next to the road that way you wont to "backpack it" up and down several canyons Congrtulations. Ernesto C

Went out yesterday morning to see if I can help out the deer population. First two set ups...nothing! but on the 3rd set up was going to be very different................This is what I could see, and some more from the little hill or noll........ I started calling and about 15 minutes later I saw something runing towards me right on the open about 350 plus yards. Two "coyots" I said, and they were coming quick -- This is going to be fun I said-- I'm sitting down laying against some dark rocks, got my bipod fully extended to shoot in a sitting position.......the two "coyots" are about 100 yards from me; I was going to aim at the one behind or farther when I caught some movement to my left.....TWO MORE COYOTS!! FOUR AT ONCE!! Wow I could not believe it! I have always dream about calling two "coyots" and taking the two but FOUR?! The last two that came tight to my left were right underneat me and could not shoot at them because my bipod was fully extended!! In order to shoot at them I had to get up or retract my bipod!! That's to much movement and I will spuke them away I tought!! While I'm thinking all of this all four coyotes got together but the two closest to me caught my wind and starting to run away and the other two following them.....Gggssssss I said is now or never!! One coyote stop about 70 yards broad side and KAABOOOMMM!! goes down! Quickly swing a little to my left "coyot" runing and full speed...aim and KAABOOOMM bearly missed!! kept following him in my scope and just before he entered a wash....KABOOMM again and never saw him again........look for the other two but they were gone! I was shaking for the 100% pure addrenaline and exciment and still amaze for calling 4 coyotes at once! I tought wow! can it get better that this? Came down from the noll and when to check the last spot where I shot at the 2nd coyote........there he was! At full speed and at 160 yards I was able to take the second coyote.......All I could say was thank you God for the ability. This is the noll from where I was calling, I was sitting down wtih my back against the dark rocks, If you see the ocotillo to the left, there's were the two coyotes were and I could not shoot at them. Thank you for whatching, you guys take care. Ernesto C
