Very interesting posts from every one. I notice that on this scenario there is not one right answer but several right ones. Some choose not to shoot cause of the wind, some cause of the distance, some would try to get closer, some cause he's not big enough etc. All this decisions were honest an none of them a bad one. A conclusion after those decisions is that practice, practice and more practice will make us better shooters and the ability to know our guns and became one with it. Also optics play a very importat role. Amanda said that maybe with a Swaro scope she will take that shot. So the moral here is: BUY THE BEST SCOPE YOU CAN GET to improve accuracy and minimizing the chance for error. Bullet weight is VERY important on this scenario. We all know heavier bullets will have less wind drift but since we never know how windy is going to be....what will be the ideal bullet weight? I'm a little sorprised with 308Nut statement when he said the he would not take the shot with his 308 caliber. 308's if I'm correct shoot a 180 gr bullet wich is heavy (on my book). Not that the shoot cant be made...he just feels more comfortable with 240 grain bullet. I had this scenario several years ago with a coues buck in Sonora. 450 yards across the canyon with a 25mph wind. Great hunter Danny Howard asked me - Can you make it? I can make a 450 yard shot I said but I really dont know with this wind. I ended up getting closer to the buck (150 yard shot) and droped with a 270 cal. Thanks every one............Ernesto C

Yea it is true Scotty, I totally forgot about that one, I my self have taken friend from here to Sinaloa bass fishing....man what a bass fishing experience in Sinaloa!! every cast was a 10lbs bass at least! to bad everything will end (at least for a couple of years or so) thanks to this drug war Ernesto C

Very valuable info Scotty, I guess you can say that the good news about this report is the we (the menmbers of this site) do no hunt on Sinaloa and Michoacan? The ones that order the attack against the federales in Michoacan are already in prison Can you post a report about Afganistan and Iraq including also our american soldiers? Mexico is in fact in a deep s..... Finally there was one with big b.... and fight the drug cartels. Or maybe he should never fight them that way there will be no such attacks? Is not going to be easy for Mexico and guess what? IS GOING TO GET WORSE! so be ready cause you will be posting a lot. Ernesto C

Huummm, well I wont be waiting impatiently cause I know I will get drawn any ways and geting desperate does not help at all in the drawing process. But I did waited to the last day to put in cause a friend of mine that works and the Game and Fish told me to hand deliver the app. to him so I can get drawn. Also the cousing of my friends sister told me that the results will be ready by July 23 but she will let me know about my hunt a day or so before that. So in the mean time I will be inviting her out for dinner, movies etc.. I also know that I'll get drawn cause since every body is afraid to apply for the southern units I will have the entire unit for my self. So as you can see...with all those factors to my favor....you think I'll be waiting impatiently? By the way.....if you want to know if you got drawn before the results get posted....let me know Ernesto C
