Took the wife and kids up North to scout for antelope and elk. Threw in the new bow to practice with. Found lots of jackrabbits to practice with. !st shot at live game was a hit from 40yards. It started to run off with my arrow. Just using field tips. Used range finder on some targets and guessing range on others. Ruined 2 arrows but it was worth it for the experience and practice. Saw lots of elk and a few antelope.

By Friday night they were out of 100 gr. 3 blade Muzzy's.

Not going to touch one of those until the bugs are worked out.

I just got a Switchback XT. I shot Trykon, Allegiance and Tribute before deciding on the Switchback. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these. They were all about the same price.

My BAR .270 Winchester has shot 10 elk since 1992. 5 bulls 5 cows. Longest shot was about 325 yds. Didn't go more than 100 yds. I would say with proper shot placement and the right bullet 400 yds.would be the most I would shoot at one. If you want a little more ooomph get the .270WSM.

Couesnut, what unit? I'm on my 3rd antelope tag since 1985. This will be my last one I'm sure.

That's an antler. I saw so many deer this weekend with antlers about ear height.

Wife's gonna be po'd. No tags for her. I got 7 antelope and 7w arch cow. My son got 23 junior deer and 6A junior cow. I think that's a month worth of hunting. I better start being good. Then I might have to help downthebarrel on his Nov arch bull hunt. Good luck to all who got tags.

Coosefan, I have the 460. I haven't put a scope on it yet. The factory Hornady ammo will kill anything you go after. Smith and Wesson has a forum, smith-wessonforum.com. You'll find lots of info about putting a scope on 460's or 500's. Sportsman's warehouse has the standard 460 for $899 I believe. Good luck with your decision. DUG

There's a road about a mile and a half out of Superior heading toward Kearney. Pigs go back and forth across the hi-way. Lots of sign in there last weekend. Couple of pig sightings last week. Good luck to you. DUG

Sunday afternoon my son and I were coming back from pig hunting in 23 and saw a 89 to 95 blue Toyota single cab 4wd with a big CWT.com sticker on the windshield. We were between Jakes Corner and the rest area when he passed us going the other way. Sorry we were too late to wave at you. We were in a blue T-100. dug
