Sorry for your family's loss. I've had to put 4 Labs down over the years and it never gets any easier. Especially when the 4 year old says "Daddy why are you crying?" Hopefully when you are ready another one will come along and be a part of your family again.

My son is doing an internship with G&F and Saguaro is full of Yellow Bass. They did some electro fishing last week and one spot near the dam was full of Yellow Bass. They are in Canyon also.

6A has a muzzleloader bull and cow hunt at the same time. Or maybe it was one of the L.O. hunts for any elk.

Saw my 1st white-wing of the season today. I usually see them 1st week of April. Our subdivision used to be an orange orchard so we get a lot of white-wings that show up every year.

I got my customer # ok, but where is the app. for applying online. I can't find it. I see the one in the proclamation but not online. Can someone direct me to where it is? I'm new to this so it may be right in front of my face and I don't know it. Edit, I just found it. Trying to get used to NM calling it an elk license versus AZ calling it an elk tag. Edit, I don't think I found it. I found form 3 but I don't think it is right for applying for elk.

OOOps, I just saw this was in the bowhunting section. My bad. We have had plenty of rifle elk tags in 7W. Only have had 1 bow tag. I shot a cow with my bow in 06. For bow hunting at that time I would sit water. Or try to find a movement pattern and try to intercept them. You'll need a lot of luck.

Jeremy, 7W is my favorite area. Although we haven't killed any monsters we still get elk. It is a fun hunt but can also be a tough hunt. My son has this tag this year. I had it last year. This past year we hunted higher looking for a big bull. It's hard to sneak up on them. Settled for a small 5x5 second to the last day. Good luck!

Thanks for clearing that up Stanley. I kind of went into this blind, but I'm learning as I go. I will be reading the regs this weekend while I'm in Tucson watching softball. Does anyone put in for the Valles Caldera lottery? I was thinking of doing that too. The wife always does the Health Wealth raffle without asking. Maybe I'll do this.

I just wasn't sure if you had to take a spike or raghorn or if you saw a monster you could take that too.

Thanks Bill for your offer. I finally got it done. It was actually very easy once I found the online application. It even added my Customer ID # for me. Not sure what I got myself into if I get drawn, but we'll see what happens. I applied for either sex licenses. I still need to do some reading up on what this means though.

The Expo was neat. My wife and girls shot the Cowboy Action guns, even the 6 year old. Amanda, we walked by your booth and I was going to say Hi, but you were talking to someone and it was near the end of the Expo. I thought about buying the Grong orange T-shirt though.

Remember the days when you got a pink card in the mail if you weren't drawn? I think if you got drawn your tag showed up in the mail or going even further back you took your white card to a sporting goods store and then got your tag. I'm not baggin' on anybody here but my how times have changed. Everyone has to know now (myself included) or has to have it now. Personally I had fun replying to this post and reading about the people getting drawn and not getting drawn. But reading these posts shows me some people just have rotten luck in the draw.

Just woke up and got through. My 10 yr. old has a jr. tag for 6A. That makes 4 tags for the family. So much for the big refund I kept telling the wife we would get. Congrats to all who drew.

Holy elk backstraps Batman! We are up tp 3 tags now. My son got a rifle bull tag for 7west. Hunt is the same time as mom's 8 tag. At least we get to stay in the same motel.
