Direct Tv has lost its customer service over the last few years. I dread having to call them. Although some really make an effort to help but most do not. As far as shows, Burnworth to me is a spoiled brat. I like Arrow Affliction alot and Predator Nation and Predator Quest. Channel 608 blows most of the time with all the paid progamming it shows. Fishing shows are quite boring to me. Versus had some good shows until Direct tv quit showing it.

The lion we got to see that G&F had during quail season was sent to a University that needed a whole lion carcass. The guy wasn't ticketed either as the lion was messin' with his dog. Still another reason to always have that lion tag in your pocket and slugs if you're using a shotgun.

How much shooting you planning on doing? If just for hunting you could go with a Mec 600 jr. single stage. If you will be doing lots of shooting you could do a progressive one like a 9000G. Sportsman Warehouse should have them. Good luck with your choice.

I'm glad this got posted. Sounds like G&F is going to take a huge hit. My son was hoping to do a paid internship this summer and now it's down the crapper. People don't realize G&F is funded mainly by license and tag sales and the Heritage fund and they get no money from the general fund. We will be writing to them to get them to stop this.

So was your quad on a trailer or in the back of your truck? Or were you already on it? If it was on a trailer I don't see how they can tell you to leave. You could just park and walk in and hunt. I would think they have to catch you riding without a sticker. Maybe I'm missing something? Unfortunately a lot of the young G&F feel they have something to prove. I've heard the same thing Bonecollector did about aggressively ticketing non compliance. I think I heard there was only about 25% of the people getting the stickers.

No matter how big it is it looks like it is eating well. The story said the lion was feeding on a kill with 2 other lions. That right there sounds unlike a typical lion. I thought they don't like to share their kills.

I remember the talk here about a really really big lion might push 200lbs. I was thinking the guy in the picture looks like the guy with the small hands on the Burger King commercial.

I've been having the same problem as you, not knowing which scope to get. I'm now looking at the Zeiss with the Rapid Z 800 reticle. If you go the Zeiss website you can download charts for your caliber and load. It's pretty cool what they have.

My wife is at 15 points. I got drawn in '85, '92 and '06. Still one of the funnest things to hunt. 18 points should get you something this year.

I've looked on-line before and nothing seems to be free to find gun values. I just look at Gunbroker to get an aproximate price. Maybe someone else here knows?

So it looks like a 5MM is a .20 caliber bullet. So the .17 would be illegal.
