My son and I are having a friendly discussion about the draw. Say when you apply for deer, is your name (names) getting a random number by hunt number or for genus? In other words is there one giant deer lottery or a single lottery for each hunt number?

Thanks Doug. I had read that before. The kid thought it was a hunt number lottery. So he owes me a gun now.

I heard a little news. I think Sadie will be going back up soon. There will be a softball benefit tournament for her now too. Good luck to her again!

Sadie better sleep on the way up there. She has been playing softball since 7 this morning and played 4 games in all. They were one game away from the Championship and lost by 1 run. Good luck to Sadie on her hunt!!!!!

+1 on the politics. TV news stations sensationalize stuff like this trying to get viewers. More people are choosing to get their news over the internet anymore. People who get too caught up in this stuff are just big babies.......

We will be buying tickets. Sadie plays softball with my daughter on the Outlaws. Last week at practice she was wondering who had the FJ with the CouesWhitetail stickers on it. I talked with her about hunting a little bit and found out how much she has done and the animals she has taken. Sadie is in our thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping the softball world will come together for her too. I'm sure they will.

Wow, nice shooting man! Those baboons are scary looking. Do they attack you if you get too close?

It's almost like a molt. Someone from G&F told us this a long time ago. They will have bare spots from time to time. Also will see them with flaky skin sometimes too.

It shouldn't be a problem having him on the app. with you. If you are applying for Dec. rut hunts your odds are slim anyway. I'm sure lots of guys here get drawn for deer every year applying with their friends or family. We were told a long time ago by my wife's uncle (retired G&F computer nerd) that the best way to get drawn for elk, antelope etc. etc. is to apply alone. We do that for elk and antelope every year and most of the time with deer too. This way someone has a better chance to go. It works, my wife, my son and I all got elk tags this year. Put in seperate and if he draws you still get to go help him. Good luck!

It's a Browning BAR Shortrac Left hand 270 WSM. Still trying to decide which scope to go with. We have always wanted one of these in 270 WSM. Hopefully it will shoot as good as it looks.
