Red is a Xmas color.... Congrats!!!!

I would also think the guy in the picture is left-handed even though his sidearm is on his right side. His watch is on his right hand. Most right handed people wear their watches on the left hand. And his gun is slung on his left side. Just noticed in the 1st pic he's got a Rem. 700 left hand rifle. Not that being left-handed has anything to do with his allegedly stealing stuff. Just an observation....... So were these pics taken during a deer hunt or an elk hunt? Could G&F bust him for driving cross country since there is no road there?

Click on the pictures. Very easy to read the license plate. Looks like he's wearing a RMEF hat.......

.30-06 vs .270 vs .308: What do you like and why
DUG replied to Airbusdriver's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
You are going to get lots of answers and reasons. I'm all for the .270. I've shot 8 elk with a BAR .270 Win and 2 elk with my BAR .270 WSM at distances from 40 yds. to 475 yds. The .270 will do it all in AZ and shoots flatter than the .308 and '06. Remington makes low recoil rounds in the .270 and '06. You can get Remington 130 gr. Corelokts for around 25 bucks a box. What rifle you going to get? -
Nice video! It's funny I'm sitting here listening to I tunes and the Bone Collector Brotherhood song called Buck Fever came on. That song would be fitting for your video too. Hope you can snag that big boy in the video.

Part of the problem which nobody has really mentioned, is the guys who stop in the middle of the road with the doors open and they all pile out and chase whatever they are hunting. The truck sits there running and blocking the road. To me, that is road hunting. I see nothing wrong with parking off the road, not blocking it, and then pull out your gun or bow, put on your release/ load gun etc. and then pursue it. We were in the Kaibab one year and driving down a road and 4 deer ran in front of us. I parked off the road, got the gun, loaded it and went after them. When I came back the game warden was there and asked if we had any luck and checked our licenses. Not a mention of road hunting by him. As some have mentioned , the law is very fuzzy, and you should make sure you get off the road before going after something. I don't need an animal that bad....I like to see them before they see me.

Was messing around with a different look tonight. I put a black sticker over my white sticker and offset it just a bit. Thought it turned out OK.

Thought this pic turned out cool. Had the flash on.

Speed comes from the judgment of the WM and nobody else. It has been told to me many times.....Also, who is going to see more animals? The guy driving real slow and stopping on the road all the time with Bubba in the back of the truck with a chambered round or the guy driving at a reasonable speed heading to his next spot? Yes we have all done it at 1 time or another but it's up to the WM and what he sees.
-
We had the same thing happen on a LO elk hunt. We were in on the herd 1st and the guys behind us hung back and didn't blow it for us. Not all guys are jackwagons....
-
You may be right. But, true road hunters drive 3 mph with rounds chambered just ready to fly out of the truck when something is spotted. There is nothing wrong with going from point A to point B and spotting something from the road. The difference is speed. Ask any WM.....

Still not seeing the fuss........This was a couple years ago like his post said. You would be correct if it was just from a month or 2 ago......
-
It's not an issue. Look how white the antlers are.....I've got a mule deer skull from 3 years ago that still has that much hair on it.
-
Either or. I do like the gold though. I can always put the white in the front window and gold in rear window. Let me know. Thanks Amanda!

My windshield cracked big time over the weekend. I'll be your guinea pig if you can get a reflective sticker made....... I'll pay for it too.

Congrats man! Way to go. May that elk be the 1st of many!

I use Photobucket. So easy a caveman could do it. Save the pictures to your computer and then upload through photobucket and then copy and paste into your post.

Anybody up in Flagstaff/Parks/ Williams area let us know what the weather is doing? Lukeduke and I are heading up early tomorrow for cow elk. Let us know how much snow you are getting. Thanks!

They are gold like the picture. I've seen black reflective material that shows up as white when light hits it. That would be a cool sticker.

Are their any radios without call alert or roger beep
DUG replied to hawkeye's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Get an earbud with the built in microphone that clips on your collar.. That cures the beeps and alerts. You just hear it through the earbud. -
The Browning stickers are reflective ones. This was the 1st time I saw them reflect. I'm down for them. Let me know.
-
OK Amanda, how about some reflective CWT.com stickers.......?

I've never been to Fossil Creek. Probably an impostor......
