1985 AMC Jeep Cj7 Parting with my baby, I’ve had this jeep for 16 years. I am scared to figure out how much I have into it. It is not pretty, but it solid and reliable. Here’s a start: Less than 8000 miles on the following: New crate motor (258 inline 6) Rebuilt transmission (5 speed) Rebuilt transfer case Centerforce clutch Custom driveshafts front and rear Detroit locker in rear Trac-loc limited slip in front One-pieces rear axle shafts 4:56 gears Custom braced rear axle Cepek shocks Rancho 2 ½” lift springs Cepek 1 5/8” shackles Milemarker locking hubs Starts on first crank, everytime. Runs about 55 on the highway. Will crawl up and over your house. Most recent stuff: New exhaust front to back Brand new carb Less than 300 miles on Goodyear Wrangler M/T’s (one was defective, when I returned it, they had just slightly changed the tread pattern, you have to really look to notice) The bad news: Interior- Huh??? Stereo- ready for one! No carpet No rear seat No console Seats- Bestop buckets, have seen better days Top-wore-out bikini top and Bestop full soft doors This jeep had California emissions equipment on it, it sucked. I removed it. It has never ran better, even when new. It will not pass emissions. I live in Santa Cruz county, doesn’t matter to me. Will matter to some. The good news about that, it turns 25 years old this fall and will be an EXEMPT HISTORIC vehicle. So, it’s good to go! Body Damage Rocker panels-still there (wrinkly) Hood- was unlatched and flew up at about 45mph-creased pretty good Been laid down on passenger side once-minor dents and rearview mirror missing (Just rolled it back over with a High-Lift and off I went) Other stuff: Tuffy storage boxes on rear fenders, hold 6x9 speakers and gear. This Jeep is pretty basic, but tough as nails Asking $4250 I am selling because I bought a Toyota Fj80 to haul the wife and kid around in, its a little more comfy, and fits a carseat for the toddler a little better. OR Will trade for a high quality 4 wheeler, plus cash. Not interested in anything in particular, but need a quad, so let me know what you’ve got. One stipulation on the quad, it must be less than 47 ½” wide. (thanks, Gamehauler and TwoGuns) Located in Rio Rico, AZ. 40 miles south of Tucson. Let me know if you need addtional pics or info. If someone was serious, I can get this jeep just about anywhere in the state. In the next 3 weeks I will be in the White Mountains,Flag, Prescott, and PHX areas and could trailer it along with me.

I've been out a little recently and stock tanks are dry in 1,3,8,7,34,35,36 etc..... Even the weeds are dying, two months early. Out my window in 34a, it looks like december, every thing is yellow and brown. I predict many archery bucks will get killed on water this year, bulls also. If you can find any...

CUR-WOLF IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA???????
soazarcher replied to azpackhorse's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Sounds like a bad joke... -
They are absolutely the most important hunts in Arizona. With 4 general seasons, we have alot of opportunity, maybe we should give one up to increase the youth draw odds.

Here's Cade set up on The Claw in our blind After the rain, when the wind shifted, we set up 150 yards on the other side of the bait. This is where we stood for the last 4 hours of the day. The bear was just over the top scope turret, walking toward us, when it turned and took a perfect bullet and one more pic of the bruin, just 'cause

Thinking about finally breaking down and buying a quad. I have a utility bed on my f350 and was wondering what would fit. What are the outside dimensions (tire width) of some of your ATV's? Really don't want to have to buy a new truck bed Thanks Matt

Quote from under mule deer picture in life cycles/biology page: "This buck never shed his antlers and the antlers stayed covered in velvet (velvet has been removed in photo above)."
-
Cactus bucks are real and they do not shed there velvet. Obviously, they damage it over the years, but it is alive and growing 365 days a year, thus, the bumby, interesting antler configuration. The buck in the pic is hardhorned and just a crazy non-typical, he does have some velvet remnant, but they are dead and peeling, Like half the bucks killed on the october hunt. Maybe Jim or Amanda can straighten us out.

425 yds, rolled him

Exactly, every animal in as except bears and migratory birds (ducks, doves, geese) It has not changed in decades, but it will soon if we are not careful and INVOLVED in the rule making process.

antelope problem, any advice? :)

+1 to Redrabbit. Shoot the one you can still find in the two days before the opener. That is a great goat, but after twenty years, I would want to see every buck in the unit. Kinda depends on what part of the state you are in, also -
