Never seen them check calibers. The serial # on the gun only needs to match the # on your paperwork. Not sure what else it would match??? Who would be looking it up? and how? Whatever caliber your gun, make sure it says something less than .322"

Still finding bucks with antlers daily. Should be any time now.

Serious boots for serious hiking Asolo Scarpa Zamberlan None of these boots are good for running after rutting bulls, or sitting in a treestand. But, when it's time to move weight in the back country, real boots can save your life.

Bud and Gavin do the THE BEST taxidermy work in the state, bar none, in my opinion. Matt -
Can you email a pic to matt@borderlandadventures.com

Yup, we should see a spike in draw odds because of the stiff up-front fees. I know it changed our application strategy.

Burnworth turns my stomach. He likes to hunt behind fences.

Frozen soil when you came in, thawed later. Simple.

heading down south of the border
soazarcher replied to elkman's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
It's rockin down there right now. You're hitting it at the right time. Weather next week will only help things. Big, big bucks have been falling. Good luck. -
Head on, shoot 'em right where the beard starts ( or in the fall, right where the beard should start ) Broadside, in the wing butt Strutting, very fluffy, easy to miss. Wait till they face away from you and shoot 'em right up rear end, makes a nice target . Key is to hit the spine, somehow. Shoot a big expandable, or specialty turkey head, you don't want a pass through. I hunt with a Magnus stinger 4 blade, with a "small game stopper" behind it. Or buy a Guiilotine broadhead, and clip their head off ! As soon as the arrow connects, run like heck and tackle the bird! Watch out for your broadhead!

NASSER is a Nightmare!!! I feel your pain.

Yeah, pretty bad for AH. Author Keridwen Cornelius states " White-tailed and coues deer (a wt SUBspecies) roam the southern half of the state" About the "125 to 300 lbs" it did say "coues white-taileds are even smaller" I didn't catch that the first time around.

According to this months "Arizona Highways" we have two species of whitetail, ranging from 125-300 pounds. Guess I'm not looking hard enough....

Saw a coues deer strapped to the roof of cherokee in New Mexico this weekend. Mid-day, dusty road, hide on, ratchet strapped to roof. Nasty.... I thought that was bad 'till I saw three, hide on, piled in the back of a pickup at the gas station in cliff Nastier.... I believe we should have rules similar to Alaska. -
HAHAHA! More important than your rifle! Makes me wonder who is out killing coues deer and who is a home making a 1000 posts? Fair price, someone should snatch this up.

Most dangers unit to hunt in the southern units
soazarcher replied to joeybari's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
ManBearPig is the greatest threat this country has seen in over a week... On the dangerous units, I would say 35A/B and 36B/C would probably have the highest likelihood of an encounter. -

I've got a 10 year old cousin, getting ready to take his Hunters Education class soon, so he can get his Javelina application in. He's just getting into hunting, single mother, and I am 3 hours away. I would like to get him a subscription to one of the hunting mags, any suggestions? I get most of the major ones, and wasn't sure if something like Eastman's would be appropriate for a beginner. All he is gonna want to do is shoot 200" mulies above timberline or something. Any suggestions?

Anyone use a barrel donut/deresonator?

I've got a Win M70 featherweight in .243 that does the same thing. Sure is ugly, but that thing cut groups in half. -
Bear Arms and Protest
soazarcher replied to youngbuck's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Show me exactly where we started looking like radicals? Carrying an AR-15 in peaceful demonstration is not radical at all. It is an open carry state and he acted within all of the laws. How do you know what the Founding Fathers would have done? Were you there? The Founding Fathers had the brass to stand up for what they believed and literally put their lives on the line for it. All I see you doing is telling people that they shouldn't stand up for what they believe because of what some liberal on the east coast might think. This isn't some beauty contest where the prettiest face wins. This is about standing up for what we believe regardless of what the gun grabbers think. Yanks... I think not! Carrying an AR to a peaceful demonstration is radical and crazy and VERY, VERY, VERY BAD FOR OUR IMAGE!!!! I know its an open carry state, and yes I carry quite often. Retards carrying downtown at public demonstrations should have their rights revoked. This post and story is so ridiculous, I am baffled by people who think this crap is OK. Go ahead, let me have it. I won't be reading this post anymore, anyway. These people are embarrassing the gun owning community and are the reason we will see more restrictive gun laws in the near future. Ok, I'm done. -
Bottom of the original pics says "Dan Adler", He's AZ Diamond Outfitters. Go get 'em, Dan!

All of these pics were taken in the last 24 hours. The afternoon of July 17th and the morning of the 18th. I know most of these bucks, and they are not done growing, not even close. In southern Arizona, our bucks continue to growth right on through the 1st of september. None of these bucks are "big", but very representative. I just looked over 18 bucks and only one was showing G-2 (barely) and I know that particular buck was just over 100" last year (I have his sheds). Sorry, he didn't stick around to pose. Buck 1 Buck 2 3 bucks Buck 4 Buck 5 Baby buck And a few donkey deer for your viewing pleasure Matt

That why I called him a Donkey deer
