Got this little guy on a game camera. I think it is a ringtail cat, but the tail doesn't look right. I asked a biology high school teacher and he wasn't sure either. What do you think?

I have a buddy that swears we have 2 species of whitetail in the state of AZ. I keep telling him there are only coues WT here. Who's right? thx ahead of time

They just cashed my check. Is that a good sign?

Our group had a very similar experience a couple of years ago and we left Sunday at noon. Didn't even to bother going the next weekend. We will never put in for that area ever again. We were in the very same area you are talking about. Unbelievable how many empty water bottles, backpacks, etc that littered almost every little draw. What a shame.

Pics from this past weekend @ Sunrise
novice posted a topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Saw these antelope by Sunrise Lake on the way to the 3D Shoot this past weekend. Also had some pics of a small herd of cow elk defending 2 calves from 2 coyotes, but they came out too blurry. The bear walked thru my buddy's neighborhood in Bison Ridge just outside Show Low. We saw still another bear Sun AM on the way to the shoot crossing the road in front of us while driving to Sunrise. -
This is Mt Ord on Monday morning after the storm. 2-3 feet at the bottom of the mtn. Hope the pic works??????

Thanks Grim. I am taking my son with me also. We both got drawn for whitetail and cow elk. This will be his first elk hunt. Hope we come home with 2. Might need another freezer.

Fellas, help me out here. Just read what muley said about Unit 10 & mule deer. Hope the elk situation is much better. Got drawn for cowsin Dec. Any advice would be surely appreciated. Thanks ahead of time. Good luck to all who have been drawn.

Unbelievable!!!!!!! Our party has been drawn for 36A (Nov) and my son & I have been drawn for cow elk (Unit 10) in Dec. Just happened to check with the draw results thinking they wouldn't be ready until the 29th. No one at home so I'm jumping up & down by myself!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone.java script:emoticon('')

Guys, need your advice. I am constantly seeing these binoculars with built-in digital cameras for sale. Are they worth the money? Do they really take great pictures? You guys have taken such great photos of the elusive WT. Are you that close or are you using expensive cameras with zoom lenses? These binoc/cameras appear perfect for taking pics while out hunting, scouting, whenever. I don't want to buy them & they produce poor pics. Thanks ahead of time.

My son & I just spent last weekend in 35B getting our feet wet & getting accustomed to the area. Having never been down there before I was pleasantly surprised. Could not believe how beautiful the area is. Due to the decent rains the area has been receiving lately, water is not a problem. Washes have water & penty of tracks along the washes. Did not see any deer, but plenty of sign. Plan on going down again next weekend. Can't wait.

This will be (hopefully) the first year deer hunting for me south of Phoenix. Can anybody tell me anything about 35B? Going with a buddy & our sons.

OK experts out there, need your help again. I have just got done watching the Men's channel. They were hunting white tail in Texas and using deer attractants, Buck crunch, peanut butter, etc. I have looked thru the AZ Hunting Regs and see no mention of attractants being illegal. 2 questions: 1- are they legal? and 2- are they ethical?
-
Couldn't agree with you more .270 ( & others). Watching these guys (& their kids) shoot huge bucks in OPEN fields & using attractants seems to take the thrills and excitement out of the whole equation. I have hunted and fished in PA & AZ since I was 12 yrs old (48 now, you do the math), and I had never seen anything like this. Even baiting for bear doesn't seem right. Thanks for the responses. Our group is getting out this weekend to scout our area. Looking for tanks WITH water seems to be the first order of business. THX again
