yes it in my bag and only on my tripod and i carry smaller optics for a fast look if i need it what i saying the 15x56 M are heavy to carry around even in a back pack i guess the only resone why im say in somthing about it is bcs i take the old man with me coues deer hunting and i carry his stuff as well

i have not tried the Vortex but the only beef i have with my Minox 15-58 is that it is on the heavy side

there is very good smith in south scottsdale i can give you the info no problem

i think i got mine at around $1100 if it less then that go for it even if there a more then that you cant go wrong they are very good there one step down from the big dogs like swarovski and leica half the cost

i have the Minox 15x56 and i love it. They dont sell that one any longer but if the Minox 13x56 are being sold go for it my friend has the nikon monarch 12x56 and hes not to happy with it
