QUANTITY ok I will give you that a state like TX has the population of white tail unmatched by any other state but we are talking apples and oranges the state of Arizona does not have the same tip of deer specs that TX does. As far as Coues deer Arizona has a very healthy population we have the biggest population of Coues deer in he country (AZ, NM, Mexico) As far as mule deer look it up AZ has a lot of mules there allover the state Those are the only two deer specs that AZ has to offer. I also have been told that the ranches down in Mexico don’t even use feed for the Coues deer because they don’t like corn feed So what you are proposing just will not work in Arizona

Come on with this post are you kidding me Hunting over food is not hunting its target practice And as far as other places having large population’s stronger bigger animals then AZ you need to check your facts AZ has the biggest elk in the US we hit recorded books elk year in and year out Mules may I say Kaibab Arizona not to mention there a very healthy population allover the state Coues deer please only Mexico comes close The list goes on and on from bear to turkey to big horn you name it TX has animals that don’t even belong there they belong to Africa and on top of that more then half the state you cant even hunt without paying a rancher a fee so please don’t compare AZ hunting to other states because we have it all As far as the game & fish there not doing a bad job.

Does anyone know of a show by these so call pros on Coues deer hunts bow or rifle I bet there is very little on the Coues deer as far a shows those guy could not even come close to what we do no way I could be wrong

lets see if i can help you out lets start with the unit # gps cord would help names of trails any info on location once i get all that info ill let you know how it goes just kidding you do what you want but to help a friend goes a long way

your better off getting a good safe i would give the fed chance to see a recorded of what you have no way ask yourself this do think the insurance company could be trusted with your info

+1 on the last post I look at it this way there are hunters out there that have been hunting for years and still cant come up with a 100+ buck so be conservative but don’t over do it bcs with Coues deer its hard to tie them down to a pattern and one day you think you got it in a bag the next you end up 360 % turn around saying

Great post im a new dad and I think about what and how am I going to get my son started in hunting I can tell you this I hope he become a great man that makes a difference in this crazy world and has the same love and passion that I have for hunting

This is a good discussion to have even if it about salt licks I think every time that a hot topic comes up like this we should be able to write down what we feel, but that being said we must stand together as a community of hunters . WE are losing ground out there and our voices are being shoved to the back room

i think it maybe a bit over kill be aware look for signs thats the best you can do bcs if a bear wants your food it will get it wether you put in a tree or not
