First let me start by saying I have both scopes the mark 4 4x14x50 33mm tube and the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50 1” tube. The Zeiss Conquest by far is a better scopes in clarity GLASS Repeatability on the turrets just an over all great scope for the money. I think you can pick one up for 750 to 850. I never had to use zeiss customer service never had a problem. I have own that scope for about 5 years. I use it for Coues hunts, any of my long range hunts and when I shoot long range matches (I have been involved in three). The mark 4 4x14x50 is also a good scope but does not match up to the zeiss as far as clarity in glass, its close to the zeiss but not close enough to justify the price tag. Repeatability on the turrets is excellent. I know that Leopold customer service is one of the best for I have dealt with them in the past and I could not be happier. By the way if I were to do it all over again I think I would have saved my money and would have gotten a night force, zeiss diavari or a IOR all those scopes are around the $1,500 to 1,700 price tag but if you could save a little and hold on, that’s the way I would go your half way there. Also one other point on leupold you should stay away from the mark 4 the reason for the popularity on that scope is the fact that it use by some police snipers that are in department with a low budget (this is only hear say so don’t hold me to that statement) The Leopold vx -7 is better glass better scope price the same the VX-7 is said to be Leopold best in that price range

Great gun You need to change the trigger lb And need to add a muzzle brake those two little things will add to the accuracy of the rifle and less recoil One of the best guns that I have Bullets are not cheap if you’re not reloading

Somebody get this man a TAG!!!! There are opportunities to hunt elk every year outside AZ, if not hunting is causing you so much pain, try another state, in just over 7 hours you could be hunting elk in Colorado (driving distance from FH) in an OTC area. Sure it will cost you about $400 (for bull) more and the size of elk are smaller....Idaho also has OTC..... Scratch that itch in another state...... Redman ya your right i did put in for NM hunt price is not bad 300 But that being said i do love THIS STATE and I rather have my money stay here

Its interesting to hear both sides of the argument, I feel that this argument or discussion falls on def ears with the game and fish. Most of us including my self go to G&F meeting and always bring up the draw process and it seems like they (G&F rep) has been trained to avoid the question or there just tiered of hearing it I say to bad we all pay your pay check and that’s what you are there for. I don’t feel or think there something that will be done in the future regarding the draw process, But I would like for the G&F to have some sort of dialog regarding the discontent that many hunters have with the AZ draw. This is after all OUR G&F don’t we the hunter, tax payer and donors have the right to question, or challenge the rules that are in place. I really don’t want big changes in the way things are, but there must be some done when it comes to hunter out there that have more then 8 point and still don’t have a tag in there hands. That’s about 70 to 80 dollars that went to bonus points and 7 to 8 years of not pulling a trigger (bow, rifle muzzle loader). Come on doesn’t that person deserve a better chance than that hunter that gets a tag every year. Please don’t tell me that it all depends on what hunt you put in for; I’m talking about Trophy hunts. That why most of us have the higher point in the first place. -
