I would say it depends on the year some the first week is good and some its later.I hunt mulies and coues so what ever is rutting the best at the time.

I like rcbs dies they are true to the Ackley chamber if it was done right.my buddy has the same Ackley so I will try to get some load data.i grew up in elfrida still go down there all the time.if you neck size make sure you chamber every round before the hunt to make sure they fit.

I use slick trick heads they work great.i would never shoot a rage at elk just to much big bone and tuff hide.

No its not based off the 308 its based off the 7x57 its longer than 308.
