The Camera issue was before the Commission in 2018. Any Regulation on Cameras was soundly voted down by the Commission . This time there will be some type of parameters put on them. Anti - Hunting organizations are already targeting them here in Arizona. As I was one of maybe 5 guys that was at the very 1st meeting at AZGFD headquarters over Trail cams. I know that Jay Cook of AZGFD had already decided a ban was gonna happen on his watch and he was all for it. But the Commission shut it down. One commissioner said he was afraid it would make criminals out of law abiding citizens. I love using Trail Cams. Its fun , its exciting, its fun to share, its hard work, do I think it effects wildlife? NO ( they adapt very quickly) . But there will be more guys in the woods at prime time if a ban is put into effect and it will definitely affect the animals more than Trail cams. Do specific animals get targeted because of Trail Cameras ? YES Do more mature animals get harvested because of Trail Cams? YES So if we are going to have regulations put on them then just have them pulled down before the 1st big game hunt in August till the end of the year each year. Then everybody is on a level playing field coming opening morning. Kind a like when it rains 1 day before opening day. 😁 Bottom line is AZGFD has already made up its mind on what and how they are going to regulate Trail cams. The Commissioners are the only hope left for some type of a reasonable solution!

I have offered my help to family and friends for 40 years and helped more people by at least 10x more than I have ever guided hunters. I'm just the most blessed guide you never heard of by God's grace. The little I guide pays my gas and gives me more time in the woods. Usaully everything I make dollar wise has already been spent on scouting and preparations. There are many more qualified guides than myself. I just dont want the pressure and want my client happy relaxed and to enjoy their hunt. Then we part friends for life! Josiah

Commissioner Davis saw what the people wanted and the way the other commissioners were leaning and put aside his own personal conviction for the will of the people!! He is a man of integrity in my opinion!

Before this turns into a daytime drama series. I called Azgfd. Anybody can petition the commissioners for a rule change. Even disgruntled hunters with 2 strip tags last year with only a 50% success rate.

I will put a call into Jay at AZGFD today to ask WHY are you letting guys beat a dead horse! There is trail cam etiquette: 1. Wait till midday to check it. 2. If there is a vehicle nearby obviously or usually someone is sitting there pass on checking it. 3. If there is a sign up sportsman on water pass on checking it. These are rules I follow .

In western Arizona 360" was the new 400" this year for sure because of the drought. This bull with a 40" spread will go 370" !

This is in Utah but they were caught because hunters got fed up with it. To the camera thieves here in Arizona when You steal cameras or tear up blinds or steal tree stands . Your chances of getting caught just went up. Yes I'm speaking about current events. Slob thieves (not hunters) in a different area now. Make sure you smile so we can match to your mugshot! SirRoyal

A message to the 2 low life camera thiefs. When you steal all the cameras in at least 6 spots in a given area here in Northern Az. You not just hurting the outfitters you are hurting the average Joe hunter who is not an outfitter and has limited resources. People that love to see elk and deer and lions and bears on Trail cameras. People who take their kids and friends out for a fun weekend! Im thinking you must be a low life liberal hunter ( ya they exist) without a moral compass. I have teamed up with most of the guys that you stole cameras from we are gonna nail you! We know alot more about you than you do about us! Its just a matter of time before your caught red handed. So beware your messing with a grizzly bear and his pals! You must have a tag, so your one of how many tags are in this unit. Hmm odds are against you. We will catch you ! We know the equipment your using to steal the 40+ cameras.
