I agree with posting a sign but with some hunter ethics to go with it. If your going to put up a sign, it must be detailed as to where you are, and you must take it down after each sitting. It can't just read "Hunter in area", it should be "Hunter at water tank, 1/2 mile up road" or something. The hunter hanging the sign also must understand that if someone else beats he or she to that spot the next day, then they must respect that aswell. They also must understand that if they are hunting an area that is infected with roads and or hunters then the chances of their spot being quite is slim. I think the sign is a good idea aslong as it is used the right way. -Ryan

Do any Game & Fish Employees ever Proof Read the Regs.
RAM replied to RoughCut's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
My two cents, I think people should not point fingers and name call the Game and Fish just because of some issues that don't make perfect since. Last I checked, hunting in Arizona is a privilege NOT a right. Game and Fish may not always do things perfect, but they are the ones that keep hunting and fishing going, year after year. I just pray that by the time my two boy's can start hunting, they will have the same oporunties and passion as I did. -Ryan -
LoL I think Str8shot is refering to 311 as "indecent exposure". -Ryan

Thankyou DesertHunter23, I think you hit it right on the nose. Everyone on CWT has more passion than they know what to do with, this topic has proven that. Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who posted their opinion, no matter what it was. Just on a side note, my brother and I are going to be starting our scouting next weekend for our rapidly approaching Sept. Archery Bull Elk hunt. Hope to have some pics for you all. Like DesertHunter23 said, good luck to all who drew tags and good luck to everyone in the fall draw. -Ryan

I just wanted to say, great mount. I really like how one ear is tucked back as the other is pointed forward. It really gave it a great effect. -Ryan

Nice trophy, and great story. One day I will have to experience a hunt of my own. -Ryan

Wow, could you imagine if you were sneaking to your treestand in the wee hours and come up on those to guys with just a bow in hand. Hope they run from you or your able to fire two arrows at once. Great photo. -Ryan

I would love to find a head like that. nice job. I just have one question, was that rag horn in the background laying there when you found it? -Ryan

Great job on getting your 1st turkey. That first photo reminds me of my turkey that I killed two years ago. I posted my bird up on a fallen log, just as you did on that rock. Great job. -Ryan

GameHauler thankyou for your sincere comments, but for you to think that I believe in my mind that I'm a Bad A$$ based off my Avatar, I am going to believe you were joking. Just because I bring up some valid points that most people either wont say or don't think about, I get judged based off of my Avatar as being a Bad A$$, . Well GameHauler, I must inform you that I am the complete oposite. I am a father of two, a loving husband, a respected man amongst my peers and devoted outdoorsman who lives his life for the Lord. I chose this profession because I want to defend the ones that needed defending, protect the one that needed protection, and have a career knowing that at the end of a days work, I may have made just enough differnce that maybe my family can live alittle better life. *This topic seems to be just as bad as politics and religion.* Once again, I am not wanting to make any bad impressions or ruffle anyones feathers, but I feel it was neccassary to defend a profession that is often misunderstood. GamHauler and SnapShot, if you would like to speak to me in person or over the phone shoot me a email, I would be glad to shoot the breeze with both of you . -Ryan

Hey Tracy, remind me to put up my tree stand in your dads front yard lol. Great buck. Sad that it died that way. I hope your dad was able to keep the head. -Ryan

"SnapShot" What is your defenition of "in a less than accetable manner"? Unless your an officer yourself then you wouldn't know what they experience on day to day contacts. Yes I agree officers should treat every person with as much respect as they are being given in return, if not more. Most people rarely have contact with the Police and when they do, it all matters on that initial contact, first impressions mean everything. Unforunatly some officers do have bad attitudes and represent themselves and their department in a negative way. That doesn't mean that every officer falls under that category. I bet in your profession, bad days show up now and then, everyone is human. I can't speak for the officer that contacted your family or the officer that contacted "jnobleinaz" I wasn't there, but I do know their is always two sides to one story. For all I know both officers were doing their jobs fairly and impartailly. I'm not looking for any enemys on this site as I love CouesWhitetail.com, and want to continue to share my passion with all of you. I was simply talking about things that sometimes are over looked. -Ryan

Its funny how people are so quick to bad mouth an officer for doing his or her job. I will bet if someone was being robbed, being assaulted or something worse, that very same person would be calling 911, expecting that same officer to put his or her life on the line, just so you would be ok. As for people saying the ticket is crap, think about what area your in and what the law is. A Sheriff's Deputy working in 6a probably doesn't have a whole lot of other crimes to deal with besides civil infractions, I.E. (Quads operating illegaly). Rather than bad mouth the officer that gave you a ticket, tell him thankyou for putting his life on the line for you. Remeber he or she is just doing there job, inforcing civil violations that the State of Arizona put in place. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the State of Arizona for creatating the law. Be thankfull that you still have the ability to go up and ride you quads with your family and freinds, lately some are not so lucky. PS. Don't let this response fool you, I also disagree that quads should have to submit to Traffic laws on a dirt road. -Ryan

Per ARS 13-1802 A. 5 The person who is in possession of your belongings is guilty of (possession of stolen property). The only kick to this is the person has to knowingly believe the property is stolen in order to charge that person with the crime. The person who actually stolen your camera is guilty of theft ARS 13-1802 A.1. As for the cameras being in the forest for any period of time, I have not heard of that. If you ask me, if the person knows the property does not belong to him or her, an it has any value to it, it would be considered theft. I have heard that he forest service taking down tree stands after a period of time, but that is a grey area for me. Speaking to a employee of the Forest Service would hopefully help clear that up. For KGAINS question about the warrant. The Police Department would have to prove the item or items on the website, belongs to the victim. And even with the information that he property does belong to the victim, they must be able to identifiy the location of were the property is located in order to conduct a search warrant. Regarding the items stolen out of the pickup truck, I would check the near by pawn shops. Those guys are just looking for some quick cash and the pawn shops always seem to have property that just so happens to turn up as recently stolen. Hope this helps. -Ryan

It all depends on you and your bow. I have a PSE "AR", and I shoot Muzzy's broadheads. I killed my bull Elk last year with a three bladed Muzzy 100 grain, and he only went 80 yards before he was done. They are very dependable and are made very well. I also have another Bull Elk tag this year, and will be using the trusted oll Muzzy's again. Best of luck and I hope we will be seening eachother's Elk pic's posted, come september. -Ryan

I was reading some controversy on picking up horns, sheep skulls, Elk and Deer skulls etc.. Not sure if .270 was talking about my Sheep skull that I found and posted, but I would like to clarify if it was my post. I was accompanied by a Game Warden on the day I found it and a lead seal was not needed. Things may be different if the animal had been fresh. -Ryan

I found this drop in some of the roughest county I have ever hiked in. Scoring approximately 140'S he's not the biggest, but darn glad to have him. I tried to upload the photos from the field but I'm having trouble. I was able take this one photo after I had it put on a shield

Once again, Great Job on a primo Buck. I know how you feel when you tag out in early Jan. as I did the same thing two seasons ago. Never the less, filling your archery deer tag is something I always look foward too. Congrats, wish I could have made it up. -Ryan
