    Single pin sliders?

I'm hunting with a single pin (no slider) Of course, based on my success, I wouldn't put much weight in my opinion ;-) I have a Vital gear http://www.vitalgear.net/Single_pin_Technology.html single angular pin with hollow pino http://www.vitalgear.net/Hollowpino_Technology.html

  6. For those interested, I haven't yet met Cade in person, but I did a pretty extensive e-mail with him via e-mail. http://arizonahuntingtoday.com/desertrat/2...about-the-claw/

  12. A friend (a member here as a matter of fact) was kind enough to offer to take me under his wing for this hunt, as I am not very familiar with the Unit. A couple of years ago, I poked around the Hewitt Station road pretty extensively during archery season, but that is about it. Even though I have a coach, I want to do my part also in learning as much as I can about this hunt. Any advice, tips, or other information are appreciated. Not looking for spots - just strategy, habits, your past experiences, etc. Thanks! Marshall PS - I have a funny feeling about this tag - maybe I'll finally break the curse!

    24B October Advice

Spent the morning by Apache lake. Then circled around to Roosevelt. Headed down FR83 and by the time I had hit the turn towards the trailheads, I had gone by 5 or 6 people camped so I left them alone. Continued my circle down around. I knew because my scouting had been minimal I would be scouting today more than hunting so its all good. Pulled onto the Happy Camp Rd around noon and a couple of guys were just pulling their 2 bucks into a tree to skin out. Stayed on that road all the way to Queen Valley. Headed up FR172 and went by about 6 or 8 camps in there too. Doing family stuff this weekend and now I have a plan for Monday. Packing up from my first spot Turning around from my last spot of the day

    24B October Advice

Well am looking forward to my hunt. At least one member offered to tag along, but not sure how schedules will jive. When he's not with me, I'll probably be alone, so if anyone wants to pair up, let me know. Otherwise, good luck!

    Web guy?

  17. Went there the other night. For those who don't know, the owner has completed the "North American 29" - all with the same rifle, and has all the mounts in his restaurant. The menu features game meat as well - elk, antelope, buffalo. The special that night was "kangaroo medallions". Anyway, I had steak and it was awesome. Trophy's Steakhouse - Queen Creek

LOL - You are right and that is exactly what we did, DB! A $25 coupon for 10 bucks. Sometimes my wife finds deals on there where they will offer coupons for 3 or 4 bucks.

**UPDATE!! * i need some prayers please *

Thank you for your service and prayers sent to ease you along the path ahead. I hope you are back up to speed soon, and your treatments are successful. My wife is severely disabled and I am her primary caregiver. I used to live for hunting and fishing, but for the past several years have very limited time afield. Knowing that you are doing the right thing helps ease the ache, at the end of the day. I've also spent some time in the service to, although not on tour. You ever need someone to chew the fat with, let me know Marshall

    Opening day of bear tomorrow

I went out with DesertBull a couple of years ago - Day 1 in August. I honestly thought I was going to be one of those guys that the Sheriff's department airlifts out in a basket. Man, it was HOT. We did see a couple of bears, but no shots.

    Semi-new hunter

Hi cusca - I live in Queen Creek as well. I have been hunting Arizona for the past 4 or 5 years. No success to speak of yet, but I sure have learned a lot! I drew a 24B tag for deer this year. Other than that though, I'm always willing to head out with a friend for javelina, archery deer, quail, predators, whatever. Marshall
