  3. PM sent azhunter. OK folks, the inaugural meeting is Monday Feb 21st. I'd love to see a handful of folks from this site. You don't need to be a member of Mission Community Church, or any Church, for that matter.

    greetings from halifax

Lark - Enjoy your trip. I grew up next door, in New Brunswick.
  9. OK all - we're working hard at trying to line up guest speakers, plan events, etc. It looks like we will meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. The 1st Thursday will be more focused on the regular business of the group and a Sportsmen's Devotional. The 3rd Thursday of each month will have a featured guest speaker, with a short meet n greet following. For now, we plan to have the meetings at Mission Community Church, from 7:00PM - 8:30PM. The Church is located at Power and Elliot in Gilbert. We tentatively have 3 family-oriented events planned for April, May and June. This group is not limited to members of Mission Church, or any Church for that matter. Stay tuned for more info.
  10. Out of all the sites I posted this on, I figured I would garner the most replies here Anyway, we're stringing together some great ideas and things are moving along. We hope to start having regular meetings by late January or early February. Please let me know if you might be interested. You don't need to belong to Mission Church to attend. If any of you have previous or current experience in similar groups, I'm always looking for your ideas, suggestions, lessons-learned, etc. Thanks!

    SOLD

Still looking for a bow? I have a Ben Pearson Pride - 2006 but practically new. Never hunted, just shot to adjust, tune, etc. 27" draw length, set at 65 pounds. I know you had specific draw length and poundage in mind.

    Desert Bucks - some goodies

I have hunted 37B a lot in the past few years and am happy to report I didn't contribute to the population strain one iota. This is a great topic and I agree with the Terry and the others. There are some toads in that Unit though, I had a friend text me Friday saying he just knocked down a big 4x5

    The wife found out.

I feel your pain, a bit. I'm heading out tomorrow to spend a couple of days in 37B by myself. My wife is having a fit.

    37B HAM - 2011

Thanks - I hunted all over 37B for about 5 years in a row. The only time I never saw pigs is when I was actually hunting LOL. I've found some mulie sheds, including a pretty big one. Love the Unit - it was my first taste of Arizona hunting
  19. I just bought a .270 WSM I know that ammo can be expensive to buy, bit I am not set up to reload and I don't shoot much anyway. I shoot to sight it in, verify proficiency, check zero, etc. - I don't spend hours and hours and hours at the range. Are there any rounds off the shelf that work well for lions/bears/coues or even lions/bears/coues/elk? Curious as to what everyone uses. Thanks

    Hunting and Fishing

This was on AzCentral.com yesterday, and judging by the comments it will be interesting to see if this passes. Even some of the comments by (supposed) hunters are way out there... http://www.azcentral.com/news/election/aze...s.html#comments
