I think you need to shot them both and see what is comfortable to you. I personally like hoyt but that doesn't mean that it is the best for everyone. The new hoyts just came out and I think mathews is releasing their new bows one the first. Shoot the new bows when they come out and see what you like.

That is one of the coolest mounts I have ever seen! I would love to have that in my house. I have to admit that I have the same obsession that you do, nothing is more fun than chasing javelina with a bow! In fact I don't even own a bow right now and I still put in for archery javelina. The deer I shot this year took up some of my bow money but I am not going to complain about that!

I am so thankful right now to have good friends that are willing to help other people on their deer hunts. I would have never shot this buck without the help of Chad and Tommy Haynes, thanks guys I owe you both big time! This is my 2nd whitetail and by far the biggest. I hope some day to get a bigger one but this one is going to be hard to beat. Shot him saturday morning, and I am kind of excited! Brian

The scorpion is probably a small desert hairy. Usually the are real big. The other bug is not one that I have seen before but possibly a jerusulum cricket.

I just went through and looked at the pictures and they really don't do this buck justice. I told a couple of friends I thought I shot a buck over a 100" and all of them that saw the pictures thought I was crazy. When they saw the buck in person they agreed with me. I cant wait to have this buck mounted and hanging on my wall!!! I am still excited!

I got a 36c oct tag. I tried to get this as a leftover tag last year and struck out so I was excited to get it this year.

IMO one of the better bowtechs made in the past, of course the allegiance would top that list.

I'm with Will K on this one, two orange and a black. I also use flo orange wraps that really help to find the arrows.

From what I have seen the helical and whisker biscuits don't always work well together. The fletching already have a little bit of friction to them when passing through the biscuit. The helical makes even more friction between the two and can actually start to tear the whiskers up. It probably depends on the brace height of the bow as well but I am not sure. I have seen a lot of guys complain about the accuracy of their bow and you look at the whisker biscuit and it is all torn up. When we put drop away rests on these bows it usually fixes the problem. I does sound like Elkhuneter is using one with no problems however so it must not always be the case.

All my life my family and I have gone to Greer to camp and fish. I think this is one of the most beautiful places in Arizona and it makes me sick to see those pictures. I pray for all the families that live there and/or own property there.
