My first deer rifle was a 25-06. I worked at Sportsman's warehouse while I was going to college and one of the other employees was a retired guide pilot and guide from Wyoming. He talked very highly of the caliber and kind of steered me in that direction. I loved the gun and ended up shooting my first deer with it that year. I can't remember why I sold it now, but I sold that Weatherby Vanguard to a fellow forum member. He lived in Tucson and his brother picked it up for him at my house. @swampokie was that you? I remember swamp was in the user name but that was it.

I wish I had the money for this! Someone buy this thing so I don't have to figure out how to get the cash!

I was driving down McKellips Rd the other day and noticed a car driving the other way. I notice that there was someone hanging from the passenger door. That car was driving very fast and swerved and threw the guy off the car. I turned around to make sure he was okay. When I talked to the guy he said the driver had an AR15 and had it pointed at him. He was holding onto the barrel trying to keep him from shooting him. Guy was lucky to be alive... Anyway my point is I have never seen anything like this in MX. The craziest things I have seen where all here in the states. shoot can happen anywhere

Our President is screwing our country. Open borders are making things worse. They need to get the border situation under control. With Harris in charge, I see nothing happening....ever. I can't tell you that your wrong because I don't know. The people that our group talks to in MX says not much has changed this year.

I will say this MX is a different world. Every time I have gone down, there is always a new challenge. Nothing crazy, but their world works different than ours for sure. None of these things would stop me from going again though. MX is not for everyone. Once you've hunted in MX you'll understand what the obsession with going back is all about. To me it's more of an adventure than a normal hunt here in AZ. It's a step back in time being on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. And the food....can't beat it.
-
Well Don't get me wrong, if this happened to me I would probably never go back either.... 😂 I've heard plenty of these stories happening here in AZ also.

Why the hesitation? I've been down to MX about 6 times now, all within the last 7 years. Last year was a little different because of the presidential inauguration, but everything went just as smooth as normal. The thing that most people don't realize is, for the most part if something happens to someone in MX, there is a reason. A couple of years ago the Mormon family was killed by the cartel and I had a hunter and his group back out of the hunt. That particular group of people have a history with the cartel. That's why it happened. We went down that year, as well as a lot of other hunters and had no issues. Just like here in the US anything can happen. Be smart...Travel during the day and in groups. Only stop at places that you absolutely have to. Don't drive like crazy people. Respect the locals.

Never a dull day when owning a shorthair!
-
Always started with seeds. I'm almost positive me have never bought any vegetables that were already started. We have bought basil and other herbs though. Now I am wondering if maybe that's where they came from.

For those of you with squash, how do you get rid of the squash bugs? Every time we have grown squash, they seem to take over!
-
These pictures make me miss my shorthair! What dose that melon taste like? I've never seen those before. I might have to get the wife to grow some of those!
-
I've got plenty of both....I was just curious about the 215 because I've never seen them used in any reloading data.
-
I had to order bushings today so I threw the crimp die in the cart also. Thank you for the info!

I just ordered a set of Redding type s dies hoping to get better control of the neck tension in my reloading. As you stated I have always used H4831 in the 280ai. I recently bought some of the 143 Hammer Hunters, in hopes of getting drawn for antelope, but didn't. I really need to get them loaded up and see how they shoot. I saw you had some for sale, did they not shoot as good as the absolute hammer?
-
Dang that’s a great group! Why the mag primer? I’ve always used 210’s in my 280ai. What kind of dies are you using? And what’s your process for getting the neck tension at .003?

It’s about time! 😂
