This is very cool site and its a shame that people feel its necessary to sometimes hijack threads and put people down weather they think something is true or false. Nothing wrong with asking ? if you dont agree with something but pointing fingers is different story. I dont blame anybody for having there suspicions about this event that is only natural considering how unique of an event it was but lets keep this topic at peace and not ruin the hunters once in lifetime achievement because he earned it.

Now this has not been officially scored but 3 different guys came up with the same gross score so we will see but still a once in a life time deer.

Matt is the shooter on the left and his good buddy chip on the right. Chip also took an nice antelope last week. Keep the fobbin up boys.

Hey guys just wanted to share with you my buddies antelope. He took it to the last minutes of the last day before he got him but definitely an awesome animal especially for his first. I will just say his shot was a poke but the fob and the 4 bladed muzzy got it done. Congrats again Chip.

He has not yet had him officially scored but it is looking like high 70's might have even touched 80 if it hadn't broken an inch or so off on the prong.

Hey June yes this is chipper the one of the fob gang we tried to get it on tape but later learned that a spot and stalk antelope on tape is almost impossible but we had our chances but just glad that he came away with one. To everyone out there if you are shooting fobs please send me your pics so I can download them to the mother site. Good luck to everyone this season and shoot straight!

This hunt was an educating spot and stock My buddy got to experience first hand how hard these animals are to harvest with a bow especially spot and stock.

I was just very happy to hit foam and take my 5 there was alot of rocks surrounding him.

Picked up a bad habit or 2 but definitely had a great time! dang wind.

My friends and I when we have done these contest we have used a 60 inch difference so a 90 inch coues is the same as a 150 class mule deer I think that is as close as you can get. IMO

Another vote for the slick trick 100 grn Mangums by far the best built broadhead for durability and field point accuracy. IMO You can get them for 20.00 a pack on Archery talk under the classifieds.

What unit? I have a spring archery tag was wondering if the bears I know of in my unit are moving.

I know its a little after the fact but a buddy of mine sent me this pic from this past Sept his girlfriend had decided to get into archery with him and would you believe it first year first deer. Thats awesome to see the ladies out flinging arrows and putting back straps in the freezer.

Look into the martin line they have a bow out this year that is called the Martin moab and its price tag is around 400.00 bow prices have gone through the roof lately so look there for economic reasons plus they have been around forever.

Thats why they make bright arrow wraps that show up even better than fleching so regardless on a pass through with or without fleching you have a better chance of finding your arrow.
