My wife thawed one out last night, then called me about an hour ago saying she won't have time to cook tonight, so I'm looking for some ideas. Thanks!

For Sale, Leer 100 XR Camper Shell and Bedrug. Currently this shell is on my 08 Dodge 2500 Shortbed (6-1/2’). I’m not positive on this, but I believe this shell fits 02 thru 08 Dodge 6-1/2’ bed trucks. Both were purchased new in Dec 2012. The Shell is in perfect condition, and has side sliding windows, optional removable front window, window tint, 3rd brake light, dome light, factory installed rails for a Thule II Rack, and the optional headliner. I also have a home built bunk that makes a great spot for additional storage. Out the door I paid $1,904.70 http://www.leer.com/Truck-Caps The Bedrug was purchased at the same time, and has some minor wear. Overall it’s in excellent condition, but it does have some marks on it. Out the door I paid $463.68 http://www.bedrug.com/products/bed-liners/bed-rug.html Grand total was $2368.38 I’m looking for $1350obo I’m located in Tucson 520-909-5503

Hello all, and Happy New Year! I know there are a few fishermen on here, so I wanted to post up that Tucson Bass Club will be having our first meeting of the new year tomorrow night. The meeting will be at 6:30 Wednesday evening 1/5/11 in the upstairs break room of Sportsman's Warehouse in Tucson. We have a great schedule planned for 2011 with our first tourney kicking off this coming weekend 1/8/2011. We are keeping our fingers crossed as there is one hurdle left in obtaining a permit, but if all goes well this weekends tournament will be at Bartlett. If we are unable to get the permit, the alternate plan is to have it at Patagonia. We should know for sure tomorrow. This should be a great year for us, come out to Sportsman's and see what we have to offer! Sportsman Warehouse is located at, 3945 W Costco Dr Tucson, AZ 85741 (520) 877-4500 Here is the rest of our schedule; TBC - Bartlett Lake (alt: Patty) 1/8/2011 FED Piggy Back - Lake Martinez 2/12/2011 TBC - Roosevelt Lake 3/5/2011 TBC - Apache Lake 4/9/2011 TBC - Lake Pleasant 5/14/2011 TBC - Lake Patagonia (NIGHT OPEN) 6/11/2011 TBC - Roosevelt Lake (NIGHT OPEN) 7/16/2011 TBC - Lake Patagonia (NIGHT OPEN) 8/13/2011 TBC - Bartlett Lake 9/24/2011 TBC - Bartlett Lake or Apache Lake 10/22/2011 FED Piggy Back - Alamo 11/5/2011 TBC - Championship TBD 3 - 4 Dec 11

Bowhunter81, I'm actually pretty new to the club myself. I have been hearing the same thing you are saying from other people, and that's what some of us are working on trying to change. Things are changing but it's not going to happen overnight. This year we changed the tournament schedual so that you don't have to fish the federation events to still contest angler and co-angler of the year. And we are trying to bring more fun and comraderie back to the club. I'll post up more after the meeting tonight.

Awesome, I love the wide ones!

I have a Model 11 that I got from my cousin about 35 years ago. The barrel started to split when he had it so he cut a few inches off. When I got it from him I had a poly choke put in but it still doesent pattern very well. Anyway, it's been sitting in my closet for about 30 years. I want to get a new barrel or attempt another fix on the barrel that I have. Anyone reccomend a good gunsmith in Tucson? Or a good place to look for a barrel? Thanks, Pat

I ended up grilling it and lucked out, it came out perfect! I'm going to try one of the other recipes on the other one. Thanks for the help!

The gun was made in 1920. Thanks I'll give them a try.

So who else had their stalks blown by guys walking in with a Hoochie Mama? Three different times we were on a herd with great action, Lots of bugling, bulls fighting, it was great!! We passed several smaller bulls. Three if them at 25yds broadside but not the bulls we were looking for. I didn't have a tag, or it wold have been game on for me. Two of the smaller ones were small 6x6 about 300. I would have taken either of them in a heartbeat. Anyway, right when things looked like it was going to go our way, someone would start walking straight into the herd calling with a Hoochie Mama and bust em. Then as the herd is running away, they would go after them just wanking away on the call.... FRUSTRATING!!! And way to train them to be call shy... I had to come home yesterday, but the guy I was hunting with is sill out till Thursday. I hope it's settles down during the week and some of these guys go home. All in all I had a great time and saw a ton of elk. Lot's of bulls and some pretty good ones too. A couple of the herds we got into were big, and the fights were nothing short of awesome. It's been good reading some of the success stories. Good to see some of you guy's got some good ones.

I'm about done beating this horse, but my buddy that I was hunting with just called me. Today is the last day of the season, he found the herd and got set up in a good spot. He said the elk were moving towards him and getting close to shooting range. They just needed to clear a few trees when guess what happens...... The same jerk off clowns started calling and busted the herd again. After two weeks of doing the same thing, you would think they would start to figure it out.... Some people just ain't bright! What bummer! He is now headed back to camp to pack it up. Next time I guess...
-
LOL, oh believe me, I noticed the elk. Very impressive!
-
Now someone finally made some sense. Just because someome might not know how to use it doesn't make it a bad call. It's just another call that has to be mastered and don't blame the call. TJ ps.....I personally like it myself. LOL, like I said, I own one myself... I'm trying to bring a little attention to the fact that we now have a metric ton of inexperienced callers wanking away on the hoochie mama, and training the elk to RUN AWAY! I saw what I saw first hand... It was ridiculous! I have been hunting this particular area since about 1978, and I have never seen anything even close to the clowns I got to see over the last two weekends. That's why I asked to see who else had the same experience. But then again, it's great when the elk are bugling, you find them easy. But so does everyone else.
