Allow me to be the one to kick this off....BOOM! $90x2 pending on my card this morning! My buddy and I got archery pronghorn tags coming. Either 1 or 4B! Loving life right now!

300 - 310. Short'ish main beams and brows. Nice top end. Shooter all day long!

This is my 3rd pronghorn tag in 10 years. I had 8 points. I drew rifle in 2010 (also with 8 points) and archery again in 2012.

I got a notification from Capital One that a charge from Game and Fish was declined because my card was Locked. That seems to be the ticket if you don't want to draw a tag that you put in for on accident but still want to keep your loyalty and bonus points.

My Cabelas card changed from World's Foremost Bank to Capital One with the Bass Pro merger which I suspect is the case for everybody. On my Capital One page there is a spot for pending charges right on there. I think that is a done deal. Besides, if you know how to do basic arithmetic you can figure out the pending charges without having to call.

Oh the suspense! LOL!

Which hunt?

Got a hit on my card for elk for my wife! She's happy! Already bragging to her dad, LOL! Fellas, if you aren't married yet, find a wife whose dad hunts. It will make life a lot easier, trust me!

Thanks for the offer Shelvin! I put a different card on "lock" and changed the number to that one. That should do the trick.

They didn't have youth tags when I was young. Didn't draw a bull tag until I was in my 30's and I had zero success at big game hunting until my late 20's. My Dad was not as fired up about hunting as me, yet I still have a great passion to hunt, without being given all the freebies that the Department and others say are so necessary to recruit and retain hunters. You either want it, or you don't! On my other dilemma I confirmed with the Big Game Supervisor at the Department that once your card is charged when you apply, your app is valid and therefore will earn a bonus point and keep the loyalty point regardless if your card is declined or not processed at the time of the draw. Might have dodged a bullet.

Can't call the company and suspend the card because I have my wifes elk apps and also our pronghorn apps on the same card. Best I can do given the situation is to switch my elk app to a different card, then lock or suspend it during the draw, then unlock it after the dust settles leaving all the other apps as is on the original card.

Can anyone here verify whether a rejected card during the draw no longer results in a lost loyalty point? Thats assuming you have a valid app to start with? Would rather not draw that tag by mistake and have to pay for it. If I can keep my loyalty point and get my bonus point, I'm changing my card number tomorrow to a bogus one!

Point guard yes, lots of points, no. I got drawn and stuck one in 2017. Only 3 points this go round. Heck, might even have a good time camping in the wall tent and be able to use the wood stove for once!

Any reading material to suggest for those of us that get upset if we do draw? My dumb butt put a late hunt for 1st choice by accident instead of the early archery bull! Doh!
