This is my Dad. I miss him so much. For you guys that still have your Dads around don't take it for granted one single day.

I'm in the canvas Wall Tent with comfortable cots and heater group. I don't like being limited to certain places to camp because a trailer is involved. I like being able to take the truck wherever I want to go and hunt from there. No right way, just whatever is comfortable and works for you.

Around 20,000 acres now and bearing down on Jacob Lake. Awful! Glad I decided to get points only again this year. Next year should be epic.

It went from 2,200 acres to over 10,000 acres overnight. No bueno in the short term but good for deer long term. Just leaves such a huge scar on the landscape when it burns that fast.

If his is a class 6 undesignated, if/when he completes probation it will be reduced to a misdemeanor and all that felony stuff is no longer the case.

Might Want to Sell Property near Heber - Good Realtor?
Heat replied to Heat's topic in Classified Ads
I still have it. Mr. Bill Quimby was a very smart man and provided me with some sage advice on this thread. That being said, everything is for sale for the right price. PM me if you are really interested in buying a property and have cash or can finance with your bank. I'm not a bank so I won't take payments. No tire kickers, serious offers only. I have a pretty firm price in mind. Better bring it or I will just keep it. -
Zamberlan and Scarpa are both great. I agree with Stan on his advice to a T and I also have a pair of Keen's that fit me like a glove. My feet have widened over the years and the wide toe box of the Keens works really well for me. Try on a bunch and see what works best for you! In general I like an American or European full grain, one piece upper with no lining, wide toe box, and stitch down construction. Not many out there that fit that description so I compromise on one feature or the other.

Sorry about the dog man, never easy. Rest assured, you did right by her.

Looked like a sci fi movie. Its about time we got people back up there. Its a shame that we dropped the ball there for awhile.

Taking the boys up to Bear Canyon this weekend- bad idea?
Heat replied to PhxDT's topic in The Campfire
First time I camped near Bear Canyon some idiots with an automatic weapon shot for hours in pitch black the first night. Thank goodness they burned up all their ammo that night. -

Get whatever you like! They are all good in some ways and bad in others. I have a 19 Chevy Trail Boss 1/2 ton. I don't care what anybody else thinks or says, that truck is bad butt! I get 18mpg around town 20 loaded down on the highway, with all the power I would ever need. I've had it in mud, sand, rocks and it just goes. I went places I never should have been in my 04 Z71 and this truck blows that one out of the water by a longshot. None of that auto start stop crap, has a 6 speed tranny not 8 like a lot of newer trucks. I thought hard about getting a Jeep Gladiator but this is way more truck for a lot less $. Like I said buy what you like and forget what everybody else says. They all have their little issues. Mine was made in Indiana but I'm sure it has some foreign parts.

Dove season was like a national holiday when I was in school. Lots of guys came in late and or brought shotguns to school. No big deal. Starts in the home!

AGFD -- 2020 bighorn sheep hunt recommendations online
Heat replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
I wonder if there was a pissing match or problems on the 43b hunt last year. Tags went back up and they are splitting the season. Glad I got mine 10 years ago. Nowhere near as appealing to pick that hunt now. -
If there is a take home message in Tiger King its to stay the heck away from Meth! dang tweakers are nuts!

I don't think there is the will, need, or capacity to test even 100,000 by that date nevermind some of the higher numbers. A lot of people will be exposed and could possibly test positive but nowhere near that many will actually get tested.
