Any for Glock?
-
Keep in mind this is just my opinion based on a very small sample size. Given a choice, I like Seaforth best but their boats book pretty fast. The parking there is a breeze but the bait from that receiver is generally not as good as the bait they have in the big bay the other 3 landings have access to. What it really boils down with me is relationships. I like fishing with guys I trust. I trust Jeff and Mike and Chapo on the Outrider with my life. They go above and beyond, always. That is first and foremost, the rest is BS but those dudes can catch fish with the best of them.

.243 is pending trade... -
Boats, crews, customer service just seem to not be as good as the others.

Any more than about 20 starts to get a little crowded on a 65 footer for me. On an 85 or 90 foot boat you can do 30 or so but that is not my cup of tea. I like the Success, Outrider, El Capitan, and would jump on the Pegasus or Pride in a heartbeat as well. They all fish with 10-18. For the bigger boats I would look at the Islander or early in the season the Vagabond which sometimes will fish 1.5 days. For a full on cattleboat experience Pac Queen, New Lo An, Aztec, or Condor are pretty decent boats. Tribute or Mustang if going overnight. Would have said the Tomahawk but they seem to not be as consistent as some of the others and have switched up the Captain a few too many times recently for my taste. I stay away from H&M for the most part but if I had to get on with them would look at Constitution and/or Poseidon.

If I don't draw a deer tag I'm down for late August. Will stay tuned.

Try to contact Ron Eichelberger with Ponderosa Outfitters. Ron does (or at least used to) backcountry trips in that area, so he might be able help you out. If not he might be able to refer you to someone who can help.

I didn't end up going on that trip, something else came up. And since I didn't go they limited out, of course.

My Mom needs your prayers. Shes 76 otherwise in great health. Exercised regularly, ate well, never smoked, never drank more than a glass of wine or two. Got the pneumonia bad. I'm scared fellas!

Where are the posts about how G&F hasn't posted results yet

Wow, throwing the last draw out as a total fiasco, do you think they might get it done and run cards on the 25th? -
Thanks for the report Dan, that is unreal! Great work man and congratulations on your jumbo!

If the pics I saw on Facebook are him I'd say our boy Swivelhead killed it!

Me too twistzz. We have a driftboat trip on the Kenai and a halibut trip out of Seward already booked.

Thats one thing I like about fishing mono line primarily. You can respool with fresh line every year and not spend a giant fortune.

Looking for an Over/Under Shotgun, 20 Gauge, 26" Barrels; Have something like a CZ, SKB, Stevens, Tristar Setter, CD/Miroku in mind. Slightly used but not abused is OK, but looking for a nice gun preferably. What do you have for sale or trade?

Interesting perspective from your friend Siwash. I am not a fly fisherman and I like to eat trout, so I guess I can see how he might look at it differently than someone coming from spinning gear. I can also see it being a totally different story in a place like the Pacific NW where they have much bigger water.

That looks like a bunch of fun!

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 1.5 Day Trip for Father's Day weekend. Departing Saturday, fishing all day Sunday, and returning to the dock early Monday AM. Looking for some company perhaps before I book. Probably will go regardless. Been looking at this boat pretty hard last few years but its normally booked. This year it is booked solid from July through October. PM or reply here if you might be interested in going fishing for Father's Day.

Way to go!
