I saw on the internet that Palo Verdes actually bite. Careful out there.

I agree with some of the comments that the punishment seems awfully light. But to hear folks demanding that their hunting licenses be taken away puzzles me. First off, I can only assume that they will be. But are we to believe they would not poach again because well, shoot, they don't have a license. That should go a long way towards discouraging this behavior. They are poachers! More fines and more time IMHO.

5th ANNUAL CWT MARSHALL LAKE GET TOGETHER
joeeden replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
We are sure glad we came out! Thanks again to everyone for the hospitality and entertainment! We will be sure to camp next year! Joe -
I have the same issue Biker does. I could sit around for hours but I cannot close my left eye only. I'm very adept at closing both eyes at the same time. Especially when I should be glassing. I learned to shoot lefty pretty young. My brother and uncle couldn't help but notice me trying to crane my neck across the gun to see the sights. I'm also amphibious so that may help me or muddy the water. I'm curious to see what fixes people would propose for shooting a compound bow. I shoot a recurve right handed because it feels natural. I'm inclined to shoot a compound lefty but Lark scared me. Perhaps a pirate patch is in order. Lark I promise the affliction disabling the ability to close one eye is real!

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad world...

Somebody's on a power trip! I have to agree though, I don't see the guy getting awarded much, if any money in court. I would guess they will drop the charges and that's about it. -
How many shots have you missed because you had buck fever??

All of them. -
Chef, that looks incredible. Where do you buy your rack of lamb? The grocery stores in Flagstaff leave a lot to be desired when it comes to lamb. Especially full racks. Thanks!

It's been years but we always used to catch bullheads and pike out of Odell. Might be a bit cold yet for the hook swallowing bullheads to be active!
-
Nice shot Doug, but it didn't appear to affect them at all. You might want to experiment with your loads a bit.

That settles it. I'm saving up for an eagle.

Hey just wanted to see if I was the only one that hasn't had the checks clear? I saw something awhile back where some had and others had not. I just want to make sure I wasn't the only one! I don't plan on drawing either anyways but it's fun to make the phone call when they're up! (And of course more BP's!) Good luck to all! Joe

Flagstaff Support
joeeden replied to Browning'sCustomMeat's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
There are still plenty of us hunters in Flag Fatfootdoc. Hippies and hunters are all we have. While I agree the very far left agenda in our City government is a shame to say the least, it's pretty easy to co-exist with most everbody. There are a lot of like minded people to enjoy Flagstaff with! (this brought to you by the Flagstaff Chamber of commerce ) -
Thanks Weston. Intellectually I know they take some time. However, my paranoia sets in from time to time and it usually doesn't take this long! Hey Missedagain, I will take you up on that offer. But you should know if you draw again I will be the pissed off guy helping you glass! Truth be told I've been a meat hunter for awhile and it's hard to come to terms with the fact that if I want to chase bulls again it may be awhile. So I will have to chase bulls for other tags. Really good problem to have I reckon!

Well said MattMan, I think you should have chimed in a few pages ago.

All I know is that if I had that footage, the last thing I would ever do was admit it.

I ran across a very similar situation a couple years ago. My G&F friend explained that if there is any piece of hide still remaining you could not legally possess the rack or remove it. He told me to have an officer come along and he would investigate but probably give it to me. That's how it worked out.

I think it looks great! I know how difficult it can be to build one. I think you have done a great job!

I felt sorry for a BP agent last October. He had to walk about 6 miles in just to make sure we were hunters. Had a nice short talk with him and he went on his way. I wonder why we spend all this money when there are guys like NatureBob out there? Once they start looking in the washes this will all be over. Unbelievable post Mr. Nature Bob. Unbelievable. Well said Bradne.

90 and 1/8. Love that buck!

I am helping a friend post his rifle for sale. It is a custom made .22-250 with a Mauser 98 action. It has a stainless steel bull barrel. A very nice custom made walnut stock, and an 8x32x50 Barska scope. The gun weighs approximately 14lbs and is intended to be a bench rest gun. However, it now has a bipod and is very useful in the field as well. Also, for all of you reloaders, it is ackley improved. Gun is located in Flagstaff for anyone who would like to see it. $700.00 Pictures available upon request. Thanks!

Come on TJ you could never say that with a straight face! The only thing worse than not getting a pig is getting a pig! Congrats to the Huntress!

It is a no brainer! Once you do it you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner if you're anything like me. I didn't think my vision was all that bad but after Lasik I felt like I had superman vision! Swaros and Lasik are two things you will never regret buying. It's like cheating!

dang that's cool! Can you elaborate on the intricacies of the trap and how it all works? I'm sure I'll never do it but I am curious.
