Does anyone know when the season closes in Mexico? I've heard conflicting reports but I figured with the wealth of knowledge here I could get a straight answer. Thanks!

I'm sure he skinned it. There's more than one way ya know. Congrats! That is awesome!

Wow! I promised I wasn't going a penny over 200k. Maybe next year.

Awesome! My only advice is you cannot have too many tires for your pop up! I have a smaller one too, and even the best tires available are marginal for trying to drag them where you want to go! IMHO.

Sorry to hear about the meat! There are a couple of companies that offer insurance for mechanical breakdown. The deductible would not apply and it does not affect your rate until the third claim. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Congrats on the baby on the way!

TR Taxidermy in Flagstaff. Tim is outstanding.

Chef, thanks again! I should have taken pics but it turned out perfect! I actually seared mine in bacon grease since I had it handy. Merry Xmas everyone!

Gbocardo is absolutely right. I own an independent insurance agency and I am of the opinion that most of the ill feelings towards insurance companies are well deserved. The insurance company has signed a contract and a "promise to pay" just as we all do. If there is a viable loss that you have incurred, (like someone breaking into your home and stealing your property!) The insurer needs to step up and pay. It is very unfortunate that this is not always the case. In my humble opinion, your agent needs to be an advocate for you, not the insurance company. He needs to escalate to someone who will get the claim paid to your satisfaction. It was mentioned earlier, and it is very true, we are all expected to pay our premiums on time. Prompt payment should be reciprocated by your insurance company when you suffer a loss. Sorry to hear you had such a tough time.

Chef, thanks for all of the info! I am following your instructions to a tee! I don't have a roaster with a rack so I'm improvising with a vegetable steamer rack. I have made several prime rib roasts and they always turn out good, but you obviously have it down to a science! Can you detail the au jus process? I always just mix the drippings with some beef stock, which again, is ok. Any tips on that?! Thanks again!

I always chuckle when I hear that AZGFD is greedy and money hungry. Are you fellas implying that the officials at Game and Fish are embezzling money and spending it? Whether or not you agree with how they allocate and spend our funds is one thing. But to accuse them of being greedy absolutely baffles me. So they raise the cost of tags and go buy a sweet new bass boat? They spend our money to enhance hunting and fishing in Arizona.

It seems awfully coincidental that the snake happened to be in the tree right where you shot the badger. I don't think I've ever seen a rattler in a tree like that. Very cool! The badger too! Smelly critters aren't they!

Nice classy comment Hunteraztuc. Congrats on a great buck! I know that spot. It's in 36b

I have Swaro 15x56 for sale. We are all familiar with these binos so I will keep it short. I have the case and the warranty is transferrable. they have a couple of scratches on them, (nothing on the lenses) but they are otherwise perfect. I can also attest to the fact that they do make you a better coues deer hunter $1650.00 Thanks for looking!

Any Ron Paul Supporters Out There?

I did forget to mention his assertion that "secret societies" run our country. Basically that our entire governmental process is a huge conspiracy. The FBI, CIA are all out to get us! Look it up. -
Any Ron Paul Supporters Out There?
joeeden replied to Curtis Reed's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Umm, sure. Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view. The justification is always that someone, somewhere, might possibly be offended or feel uncomfortable living in the midst of a largely Christian society, so all must yield to the fragile sensibilities of the few. The ultimate goal of the anti-religious elites is to transform America into a completely secular nation, a nation that is legally and culturally biased against Christianity. — Ron Paul And this gem. Paul reported on gang crime in Los Angeles and commented, “If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be.” “Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal,” Paul said. Paul also wrote that although “we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.” Stating that lobbying groups who seek special favors and handouts are evil, Paul wrote, “By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the bad sort is the Israeli government” and that the goal of the Zionist movement is to stifle criticism. yeah I think Ron Paul has a shot next year. -

Very well said Lark. Are you guys sure you know who Ron Paul is? Vote for who you want to, but I implore you to be an educated voter. Ron Paul is in a great position to be critical of our current economic crisis. Who wouldn't be? "Hey everyone we are in a bad spot, just so you know." He has zero substance in my opinion. Read up on the guy a little more. He's loony tunes! -
Yeah he's ok. I mean if you like that kind of thing. Big freaky awesome rack. Antlers everywhere. Shame on you for not seeing that short 2nd but otherwise good job. Okay I can't keep it up, great job Josh! WOW!!!!
-
I don't know. I think they could have come up with a much funnier name for that bird. But that's just me.
-
Great job! Do you shoot for Bowtech?

+ 1 on both accounts. Wayneswords is outstanding. He's a great guy too. If the smallies are biting, which they should be right now, don't worry too much about what you are throwing. I prefer gitzits in any color that resembles a crawfish, but most any grub on 1/8-1/4 oz. jighead will be poison. The better fish should be in about 20-30 feet of water right now, but I haven't been yet so I would experiment with depths. From what I hear the striper are a little fickle right now. But drowning anchovies is a fun, low impact sport for sure!

Well first I love that Lark thinks it's an interesting topic. Pretty good man. Not sure if anyone else caught that. I think the economy is definitely impacting the decline. However, I've seen permit fees specifically mentioned several times. In this day and age is G&F out of line charging $42.00 for a deer tag? That actually sounds very reasonable to me. Now gas prices are another story. Tony's right. I blame Bush. Joe

What did you apply for if you don't mind me asking?

"The Draw" and a new topic....
joeeden replied to Ace High Benny's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Other than an ability to draw tags, I must be lucky. I have had numerous encounters with G&F in the field and they were all very positive. One of them even helped take a few pictures of a buck. I've probably jinxed myself and they will ask for 4 forms of i.d. fingerprints and a social security card.
