Good luck on that hunt, ill be trying to get some info on that area also since my brother inlaw drew the sept archery cow hunt for that area. I actually sent in for a left over for the aug. rifle and the sept archery for that hunt i figured what the heck. Ill be looking around in june and ill let you know what we find.

I shot a 100 inch buck two years ago while sitting in a ground blind, I had a tinks scent bomb with tinks 69 in it and this buck came running into 15 yds in front of me. He wasnt spooked and I really think he was coming into the scent although it hasnt worked again I think you just have to have the right buck around that it will work on and a good amount of luck also.

Calling works with cows but I think it works better to sit in their travel ways especially for kids. to be set up behind the rifle as they appear gives you the advantage. The hochie mama has a lost call setting and it will call in cows but you have to keep the call working over and over non stop that has worked for me on quite a few calling set ups. PM also sent.

I don't think they should in anymore trouble than the gal that started the chediski fire, that was stupidity these guys made a mistake and if there weren't stupid laws about fighting fires in wilderness areas with whatever means necessary they probably could've got a handle on it quick. Don't get me wrong they should get some sort of punishment but what? putting them in the poor house or the big house won't fix a thing. The Slobs are the ones who started the horeshoe and mounument fires, if youre from another country you can get away with it. I never read anything about them fishing the wallow creek, but acording to the recent article they stayed the night in the forest and the next morning ran into a sheriff at wildcat creek and told him they thought it was their campfire that had started the fire, doesn't sound like they were trying to hide anything. If the forest was properly maintained this wouldn't have been as devistating. If these guys wouldn't have caused it someone else would've that forest was on borrowed time and it's sad to see it gone. Any one of our kids could've been up there and there generator or vehicle could've been the cause then how would we feel about punishment? Hopefully it was truly an accident. And atleast the wolves are ok I think thats all that matters to the Enviormental wackos and the Fish and Wildlife idiots.
