I can't wait until I can do that My oldest is 3 just got to wait some more. Congrats by the size of the smile on his face I can tell you had a blast.

I have used the primos grunt tube and bleat can from primos that you put your finger over the hole and flip it upside down and it bleat. I have used them in the past and they have worked great the only thing that I do not like about the bleat can is about every 2-3 years the pc inside like drys up or something and the bleat sounds worse and worse. I was sitting in a tree stand 2 weeks ago and I hear rustling in the bushes thne I heard a grunt and then a bleat so I started to turn around slowly and I was think that I was going to turn around and my 2 buddies were going to be standing there laughing having a good time with there calls. Nope it was too hard for me to get a shot because of a tree that was in the way but it was a coues 3x3 mounting and chasing around a doe. I was so amazed that how close those sounded to the calls that I have used in the past. I have really only been on the giving side of the calls not the recieving. Of course Murphys Law would have that I did not have any of my calls on me. I am making sure that I have this weekend when I go, but I have to stand by primos stuff. I have used it for elk with great response and deer with great response. It is usually me that messes after I get them in bow range. I know its frustrating but just trying different things is the ticket if one combination does not work then try a different way if that does not work then try nothing as in call. I am always the guy if I have a doe close to me I will make weird noises and see here reaction trying to be still. Once I tried blowing out of my nose and and making a huh huh noise at the same time. I experienced this sound when a doe was doing this to a fawn one time and I did to this sound to this doe and she ran up to me like she wanted to help me. I backed up quite a few feet from her. Just go have fun at it.

It definitley depends on the weather but If I can I would rather stay out all day. Especially if I hiked somewhere no sense and hiking it again for the evening. During deer hunts I have seen some of the largest during the times of 11:00 and 3:00.

Wow that was a crazy story. If he'd not come out and said something I would of been scowering the flagstaff newspaper to find something on the storry of a man shooting an attacker. Good job on the kill though one less yote in the world. Isn't it amazing in todays society we can actually parallel people with animals.

Well I have the November Archery Elk Bull Hunt in Unit 22 north. And I was wondring if anyone had any tips for hunting bulls in November. I am hoping for some snow so they can come down off the rim. But anyways I am confused on how to approach the hunt should I be sitting water holes, glassing all the time, spot and stalk in the cinder. I have only hunted elk during the rut. I have been there scouting 4 times. In past I usually put more scouting into it but with gas and switching jobs it has been hard to get out there. I went up there this last monday what a bad day to go. It was very windy. I see alot of sign in areas but have only seen one herd of elk. Any help would be appreciatted! Thanks.
