Thought you might check out the Alaskan canvas wall tents. Light weight canvas is the way to go. Same marine grade used for boat sails. I have more than one brand and I am sure I would get an Alaskan next time I buy.

My OPINION is like the definition of trophy. It is in the eye of the beholder. As we know B&C system sometimes doesn't account for uniqueness or character or mass in areas not part of scoring system. No doubt any bull 350 or better are awesome! My hopes and prayers is for a bull well over the 400" inch mark. I am a meat hunter and take the first good shot I'm offered so... it will take God's grace to make my dream come true. Meanwhile I am thankful for each opportunity to be in creation taking ALL of it in. This state is the Best! Don't tell anyone. LOL

270 worked for me. I recommend a 30 cal. Best in my opinion without going to mag is 30.06. SHOT PLACEMENT sums it up.

My opinion may and probably will differ from others. A rag horn bull is not mature and most likely will not breed cows. Some folks might say a bull with a 250 inch rack is a rag horn. My wife and I have both taken six point bulls under 300 inches that I would not call rag horns. My two cents.

If you don't mind muddy boots, caked up mud under your pick-up and pushing elk out of the area, just for a very slim chance at a brown antler. Waiting would be my advice. Over the years, I have found so very little this early. The storm that is suppose to come will only add to the moisture already present. Those out this weekend will most likely be rutting the FS roads and probably be down to their axle somewhere. I am anxious, but trying to be patient.

Last weekend nothing but, this weekend they started. Four bulls were screaming all night. Got a good look at two of them. Saw five trail cams all close together at one trick tank.
