I thought I would post my last two deer I have been fortunate to take. This was our second year in a row of packing in. This year was way hot but we pushed in and dealt with it. After several years of passing up many bucks looking for the elusive 100" mark I managed to go back to back years of hitting that mark. This year year was tough as we located a nice buck and watched him for a few days as he stayed just out of range (1000 to 1300 yards out) On the third day he made the fateful mistake of breaking the 1000 yard mark and I took him with a single shot at 820 yards, and yes from the pic it was a head shot, did not ruin the cape and the meat was untouched!! In total we were in for 5 days, 18 miles hiked and packed out 2 deer. Below are pics of both deer and a cool picture of an old pick we found in the middle of no where.

Thanks for the comments. I did not pack out the pick although I am thinking on a day trip to go get it. As for the Kuiu gear, I think it is phenomenal, the Tiburon pants and 125 merino top worked great in the heat. As for catclaw, they are not as tough as firehose pants or jeans. They were designed to be light weight and super comfortable where other pants are designed to be tough, there is a trade off. I have gone thru catclaw and you will get snags as with any other fabric. For the most part our area is decent for working around the catclaw, when I do go thru it I just step on it to create a path. Anyways I could go on forever on the Kuiu stuff, warning though once you get a piece or two you want more and it gets addicting. Thank god they do the 30% off once a year.

Amazingly enough we did not run into any snakes but scouting we ran into this pretty Black Tail rattler.

Yup, I know!! Here is Georges buck, his first 3x3.

Thanks, the one with the big eye guards (last years buck) scored 104. The one with longer tines scored 107. They actuall both had 17" beams but the 104 had more inside width and mass. We hunted the October hunt.

I have used these boots for 2 seasons. Awesome boot but when going down hill my toes touch in the front, I really need size 12. Tons of life left in these boots, they sell for $360 new. I would like to get $100 firm for them. If interested I can send pics.

I have had a few, currently have a Big Agnes Copper Spur 2P. Love it, light weight and double vestibules which is a must if you are with a partner, it allows each of you to have your own space for gear and you do not have to climb over each other.

Sweet Shawn, I was wondering how your hunt went. Congrats!

Daverp, from what I was reading on the site it sounds like you can only get on the ranch for your hunt, is it possible to scout it before the season? Fun place, had that hunt in 2011, shot a bull (in avatar) on opening morning and then spent 4 more days hunting the same area never to see another elk again, i agree to move if you are not seeing sign.

I have a 96 Jayco slide in camper. It is made for a full size bed but works just fine in a short bed as seen below. It has 15 gal fresh water, 6 gal hot water heater, furnace, fridge, stove top, and outside shower. It is also a pop up which allows it to be low profile while travelling and you can get it into tight places. The canvas is in perfect shape. I am in the Tucson area. You can send me a PM or text Richard at 520-400-one6nine4 Asking $2,000 OBO

These boots are lightly used, only about 15 miles on them. No noticable wear on tread. One small scuff as shown in the picture. These go for $400, I am asking $300. PM me if interested, thanks.

Roof does not leak, and sorry but no trades, need cash.

No AC, it does have manual crank jacks that can either remain on the camper or u can take them off.
