Here is my brother's and I 2015 archery strip bucks!

Guys thx for the kind words! We did a scouting package with Chads guide Service and made one trip up there with him 4 weeks before the season. We did not have any guide or guides in camp during the hunt. We feel fortunate to take 2 bucks over 200". The dropper was my #1 buck because of his dropper and it was just a plus that he went Easily over 200". We had seen the dropper one time 4 weeks before the season but he was never on camera leading up to the hunt. On the fourth night I sat a waterhole in the area we had seen him and to my surprise he came in and gave me a 45 yd shot. He ran 50yds and the rest was history. My brother had pattern the deer he was hunting and he had noticed they were taking the same path to there bedding area. He sat the area in hopes they would continue the same patterns and luckily they did. His buck along with 3 others walked into him and he shot his at 50yds. We both feel lucky to have filled a dream of killing bucks over 200" with a bow. My dropper has been scored as low as 205" and as high as 212". My brothers buck was scored as low as 217" and as high as 221". Both of us were shooting PSE HD decrees with gravedigger broad heads.

2 buddies of mine killed in 5a. I took a bull out of 5bs.

Both cameras were mounted in bear boxes with Python cables. Both stands were ratchet strapped in and we also ran chains and cables around both stands with locks. Both trees had no limbs to climb up so whoever stole them had pegs or ladders.

I'm not sure who took them. I normally would not put my stands and cameras out a month before season but we had archery strip tags and we were prepared to do the strip hunt the whole time which ends a day before elk opens.

Chad Woodruff with Chad's guide service/ Tori Brock are hard to beat in 13a/b. I don't think you would go wrong with A3, Brec Bundy, or hatch.

Your correct..i do have both! At this point it looks like ill be donating the goat tag. I never dreamed id draw everything I put in for this year but it happened!

Between the 3 of us we averaged out at 8pts!

Here are some 21 bucks!

The fire that went through 21 was the best thing that could of happened! I spend over 30 days a year in 21. My favorite hunt is the jr hunt as the kids can shoot a muley or coues. I'll post some pics of my son's 2 bucks he killed in there the last 2 years and the one that got away!

How you play your odds? Of course, you can't waste BP on a unit that fills up with max point holders, but how exactly do you "play the odds" with sheep. Without max, you are looking at about.1-2% draw odds accross the board, no matter how many BP you have. Unless you hold max for sheep, BP's don't really matter in any unit.even with max your odds are still really bad, out of max your practically the same odds as a guy with two points. I don't know the guys but I agree three of them pulling tags in one year is very strange.So 70 something points between the 3 of them is strange? I could understand your thought process if they all had 1 or 3 points but in this case those guys waited there time just like everyone else.

There are units that get less traffic than others. Every year people seem to follow those units that had big rams killed the year before. Certain units may have not had a big Ram come out of it and will get less attention. That's when your research comes in handy especially if you know a hammer ram is in there.

It's not who you know it's how you play your odds. I hear so many guys who say I put in for 22. I say how many points did you have? They say 3. I say we'll you just bought a bonus pt then My point is if you play the odds and you do your research there are units that you can draw without alot of points. In 2013 I drew the 1st ever 42 sheep tag with 8pts. My thought on going into that draw was nobody with max points will waste there points on an unproven unit. My gamble paid off and I drew and I killed a 170"+ ram.

Congrats on the tag! Alot of stress comes along with having that tag so make sure you enjoy the hunt and take plenty of pictures.
