You will get better expansions with lead but the solid copper can and will get better penetration. Lead from my experience can separate into lots of small pieces where the copper tends to stay together and also stay together in bigger pieces if it comes apart. The problem is will the solid copper Projectile expand? It all depends on speed, what it hits, an bullet selection. Lots of members on here can give you some more good advice, I’ve seen the solid copper Barnes bullets expand and preform well. They want less lead on the Kiabab to help with the recovery of the condors. As a conservationist I would refer to use lead free but it’s a personal choice.

I’ve chatted and confirmed with a few guys that’s it is the same unit. But like I said who cares, just a cool buck that has not been posted that I’ve seen. This one might even be bigger!?! Honestly not sure, My brother is the pro when it comes to terminology on them. He works hard, puts lots of time and effort in his kennel. His dogs are amazing to watch. Awesome man! Yes he’s a good guy and definitely has a passion with his labs!

I’ve chatted with Ronnie about him as well, he was unsure from what I remember. This buck came from the same unit as Sweets, I’ve been meaning to go over to his house and take more pics of this buck. I’ve chatted with a few guys that have pictures of him in velvet, I unfortunately don’t have those pics.
