Unit 1 was definitely tough, birds would gobble in the morning until they hit the ground then went silent. Talked to a warden and he said the drought has taken a toll on the birds. We had a few responses while birds were in the roost. We hunted hard and in 2 days we did not see a hen. Nuts

Best thing to do is drive up, get a hotel there in Eagar at the Best Western. Drive and hike the unit. If you don’t find a place to camp and don’t see Elk well your doing something wrong. Just come up with plan A B C and D.

I use the 1000 series rcbs ohaus dial-o-grain, the one left in the pic. I just picked up the one to the right (3000 series)not to long ago but will be selling it. I paid $350 for the one I use most but only paid $50 for the one I don’t use. I bought it as a backup. I use the RCBS charge master to throw my powder close then finish it off on the ohaus. anyone interested let me know, going to list it for $50 ftf soon.
