Anyone have a good powder they recommend? New to the 45-70 and just seeing what everyone else is using. I order 150 pieces of star line brass that I put away over 8 months ago. Had some issues on the length, and figured out that they shipped 45-90 instead of 45-70. I'm just glad I had a RCBS Protrimmer.

Well nothing but IMR 3031 was in stock so I ended up using it. Question is, how do I know if I have a good enough crimp? Lever gun using RCBS dies doing a roll crimp.

Loading them is like the last step, none were loaded. When I put one through my sizing die I knew something was up lol.

Scouting is key, and a big trophy bear yields more meat. So if you want more meat, pass on the smaller bears. Unit 17 is probably your best bet. Welcome to the site.

Has anyone on here ever seen a Long Tailed Weasel? I ran into one today while picking raspberries 3 times but unfortunately my phone was out of reach for a picture. Just curious if anyone has any pictures.
