There’s a local gun shop that still has lots of bullets. I’ll be by there next week and I’ll check what grain he has. He does has 20 cal bullets in stock but not sure what grain. Pm me your cell and I can call you to see if you want me to pick them up.

Trigger pull weight on long range hunting rifle?

2lb for me, any lighter and 😬 -
If they want or expect a tip they should let you know when you drop your animal off. With the prices they charge it should be included. I pay a high price because they do a awesome job. If I want to take it to Trails End Taxidermy for a half a$$ to save money I would. Then if by chance he did a great job I might have tipped him.

Same here, they will gobble all year long but shock gobble just during the spring. You just need to scout the area to see how it’s “kicking off” when they are in full swing it’s nuts, but I have observed it’s different in every area. Some start early, some start late.

This right here 👆what recurveman said. I had the full size one but sold it and got the mini. With onX on my iPhone I never used the maps on the full size inreach. The text messages are awesome when sync with your smart phone. The main reason I have mine is for the SOS button in case I get into some major trouble. I wish I had it on my last elk hunt, I could of text my buddies that I had a elk down 2 miles in and needed help for the pack out. They wanted to know why I didn’t come get them and were wondering why I didn’t notify them until that evening when I got service. I was literally 15 miles from service. bump it up

So these lights have been a work in progress for 2-3 years. I had bought all the parts and I am just now putting them together. It's a 2 light setup up, a amber light and a aircraft spot burn light. If any one here was at the seminar and has built them as well, could you post some pics to make sure I'm getting it right. I heard they have been using this same set up in Nevada and California for years and they work very well. This is going to be the year I'm going to try to hit it hard. Also not sure what type of 12 volt battery I'm going to need? I know I would like a dry/gel battery so I don't have to worrie about the acid leaking. Needs to be portable as well. What is every one else using?

Awesome!!!

Everything is true on FB

Just depends, it’s like the rut for them. Once they start going you can shock gobble them all you want. But it’s not year round.

Do you have dies? I have a set laying around

Honestly I have not gone out a lot at night. One huge thing that I would recommend to any night hunter is to prescout your stands, it’s a different calling game at night. One thing is to make sure you are not close to any occupied buildings. Make sure you understand where your shooting lanes are and don’t get scared 😱. Lots of critters like to move around at night, and bring a buddy.

You can take the class, pass and hunt for a kid that needs it. When feild days come available they will have 1 year to complete. I believe it’s the same for 14 years to Adult. My 10 year old kid just passed and will be hunting this year. Kids 10-13 are required to have it done and must keep a copy of completion of on-line course while they are actively hunting.
