Tanned the hide for now, might get it mounted later on. About 9,500 in the elevation is where I got him, literally in the aspens.

I saw that to, I might be buying some of the shake dry seasoning. This marinade is killer with the elk, I’m sure the the dry seasoning is good as well. I’ll have to try the brown sugar bourbon to.

Nice! Yes I’m all about the Brazilian Churrasqueira, it’s great! I think it has a “tang” to the taste. I might be a little biased though because I used to eat it all the time when I lived down there for a few years.

I also use the inreach mini as well, I have the very basic plan. Cost about $12 a month and a initial activation fee of $15. Works great, I use the Bluetooth on it to send messages through my phone. I’m going to be switching to a satellite phone soon though, it also has the SOS “oh chit” button on it as well.
