Right now it is has about a .470 diameter +/-, so he will have to open it up to accommodate the Wsm about .540 +/-. I don't have the exact measurements. A sako extractor will have to be installed as well. Also notching the bottom receiver is probably going to have to be done so the long BC bullets will feed properly. When he throats it, I have asked that to leave it a little short so I can play with the seating depth.

Just dropped the the rifle off at the gunsmith in Mesa today. Looks like I'll have back by Jan 1st. David I found a mag from RWS gunsmithing . It is a 7 round mag for the WSM cartridge, thanks for letting me know about the new law about the more than 5 capacity. Also I should have a suppressor by Jan if all goes well with the Feds.

I have heard there have been a few taken over 200" mark. That's great news. I think I have only seen one live 200" buck. Should continue to be a great year!

That paperwork stays with the store that you bought it from. All the store does is call the NICS in which they tell them your first and last name along with what type of firearm it would be long gun, or pistol. No serial number, make, or model is given to the FBI. You could be buying a .22lr rifle or a .50cal Barrett , they just know your buying a long rifle. You could get the serial number, call the manufacture, then they would know what store the gun was sold to, then the store could look through thousands of paperwork to find the original owner, then you could find the owner given the original owner never sold the the firearm in a private sale. But the manufacture would never give you that info unless your the ATF I would think.

Funny u say that because we have been hunting 3C all week since last Friday. Seen a few camps, 2-4 road hunters, and no boots on the grounds except ours. It has been a very quite week for us. We have not ran into anyone in spots we been hunting and it has been AWESOME!!!!! I'm so used to 36b on the weekend, that I thought it was a ghost town? And I will say we did not come across one 4-wheeler which amazed me. Only thing I can guess we were away from the crowed?

With over 7000 posts to my 34 it seems you've done much more talking than I have. I never said I've killed many - or any big bucks. I don't use cameras or bait to find deer. I don't use deer to prove how good I am. I don't shoot baby deer. I don't take " maybe" shots. I have the same box of ammo I bought 10 years ago with 10 rounds left. I put in plenty of work to hit what I aim at. I know my deer rifle. The rest are just toys. My .50 is my big toy. I hunt on the same mtns, mostly on my property, and shoot one round at a deer I know I can kill. I give half the meat away. And I don't think all that much of myself. But I do call it as I see it. And now I see I have to move on. I'm also waiting on word about where to go. I hope to go back east and help for a few weeks. My job/profession allows me freedom to do what I want. " don't get hung up on scores. Get hung up on hunting" lark Where is he anyway? Probably doesn't post any more because of haters like you jbird. Do us all a favor and don't post your crap anymore.
