Unless I tag a bull soon I will not but my 1/2 life size mount will be.

I have seen good bulls almost every time I have left camp. This morn I saw 8 total plus but none are shooters for me. I came close on 2 nice bulls so far (6x6 and 6x7) and missed a dream bull 2 nights ago. That one will haunt me for a long time. I left 2 herds bedded this morn and they were getting pretty fiesty (finally) this morn. None of the bulls I've seen with this group are shooters for me (yet) but I know there's 1 or 2 big bulls hanging on the fringes of these herds waiting to take over. The wind has been rough for sure. I had 15 cows come into the tank I was sitting last night with no mature bull in the last 15 mins of light.

I take a bottle of DayQuil and NyQuil now just in case of a head cold. Sucks to get one and have nothing to treat it. It also worked wonders on my dad's ridiculously loud snoring last year. Also a spare belt for the ranger saved a trip last year. Up and running in about 30 mins instead of a miserable hike out and a scouting trip lost. I carry a back up for almost everything...

Thx Tres for putting me in touch with Mike. Good lookin pointer has joined the family! -
Just got a call from a buddy who was out for a ride with his wife and 2 young kids and the 4 seater razor they're in broke down about 12 miles from his camp. He's a couple miles off the 300 on fr764. He's west of Woods Canyon Lake south on 764 close to the rim. He starting to walk out now to hitch a ride to camp. Razor was brought up in a toy hauler so he doesn't have a trailer. Anyone in the area that might be able to help him out? Ryan

How much? -
Got a progress pic from Clay of my ram. Almost done!

I don't have any specific target bulls but I have multiple large groups of cows scouted. With a good rut and cows in estrus I think the bulls will move in.

Heard a few this weekend. Had a sweet 6 pt almost jump in front of my truck on the way home on the hwy. rain has been very spotty in my area, some tanks are full and many are all but dried up.

I called him, says they're all sold.

I decided to go from 100 gr to 125 gr broadheads for the upcoming elk tag. Been shooting ST Magnum 100's (4 blade) the last few years but the QAD Exodus Full (3 blade) caught my eye for a change. The reviews on the Exodus seem really good, curious if anyone here uses em and what ur experience has been with penetration/blood trails.

Corey Jacobson (elk101) Steve Chappel Joel Turner (ironmind hunting) recently found his vids and like his basic strategy. All have good vids on calling/diaphragm calls

I just got OnX a couple days ago on a switch from Trimble because they discontinued Trimble. Still getting used to it. I know it won't (yet) import all my waypoints from Trimble which sucks.

I like my tikka. Did the research last year and got a lot of advice on this thread: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/66900-getting-a-new-rifle-advice-needed/?do=findComment&comment=661420

MT Sourdough that's exactly what Barnes themselves recommended for me - to go with one weight class lighter bullet. I went in thinking I would be shooting 180 grns and went factory 165 TTSX on his advice (other options if u reload). Performed very well on my ram. My buddy who helped get him off the mountain was a non-believer in Barnes but he agreed it was pretty devestaing on my ram. If u choose copper, I would call them and explain ur species, hunt, range expectations etc and let them help u pick the appropriate weight.
