Did he also have his forest permit? I'm curious what you have heard about all this? You seem very confident that he was in the wrong. I can assure you he didn't get in trouble for anything. if the outfitter was questioned in some way I have no clue but the guide did not. Not at all. I actually do not have any problem with this at all. Good for him! It is all simply economics. Free enterprise. Supply and demand. After u said he had his guide license than I remembered I had heard it was the FS that was going after him. Glad he didn't get in trouble because I thought it was ridiculous that the gov was ticked that someone was making a dime off from a resource on "their land" when actually it is OUR land.

We prefer the yellowtail. Marinate it in Italian salad dressing overnight and throw it in the grill. It is a firm fish. Some do not care for it but we prefer it to the bass. My 10 year old daughter absolutely loves it. Last spring one of my buddies from Utah took home 74 lbs of boneless and skinless fillets from our trip. One trip we caught 8 or 9 different species of fish

I had this same decision last year after buying a 24' boat. I went with the 6.0L GMC 2500 gas engine truck. I only get 10 MPG when I am towing my boat but that happens less than 10 times a year. For my use/purpose, the advantages of the diesel truck did not justify the added expense.
