Interesting. I have this same rifle. Got a good deal on it at a pawn shop. Was going to sell it at a gun show and my buddy said I should shoot it first. Good thing I did tack driver. Clover leafs at 100 yards and I am using newer loads with plastic tipped bullets

The general consensus on aoudad meat is that it is not very good to eat. Most hunters/guides/ranchers in TX leave it in the field.

Had bear once. ID bear. Was not very good. went to TX in Sept and shot an aoudad. Caped it out and left the rest. Weirdest thing I ever did was walking away from all that meat.
