so unless you have max points, don't put in for the units that have a star next to them. the only question is on 37A for this year. They now have two hunts. I would speculate the early hunt would be preferred. tags went up to 4. do you put in for the second hunt in hopes that no max point holders apply for it? if so will the two biggest sheep in the unit already be harvested?

Thx Brian

can you please share what units had the tags go to max point holders last year? Thanks!!!

Is anyone on here a wounded veteran that enjoys deep sea fishing? Do you know one? If so please let them know about the Wounded Warrior fishing tournament they are having in San Carlos MX next weekend. They have two spots available. This would be a great opportunity. The fishing just turned on last Friday. Last weekend they had a tournament and 25 boats released 175 billfish over two days. Also, someone just caught a 200+ LB yellow fin tuna yesterday. I can not copy a link to the post but please google "San Carlos fishing forum" to find the details. I am sure transportation can be arranged from Tucson and I am sure lodging and food will be taken care of. Good luck!

coming back one time pulling my boat the officer asked me if I had any fish. I told him yes. he said a little or a lot. I said medium. he said how many pounds. I told him about 50. he said good because 50 is all you are allowed to bring back.
-
it is my understanding the MX limit is 50 lbs per vehicle. it does not matter if one or 8 people in the vehicle. I have never been asked about amount of fish from someone in MX when coming back. I have been asked by a US officer. Makes no sense. One, why not 50 lbs per person? Two, why is the US asking about a MX rule? I know a guy that goes to MX fishing a lot. he has coolers with rollers. He always has the people with him get out with their passports and walk across the border pulling a cooler. Once across they get back in the vehicle and go on their way.

well if ASU sports is hurting, how are things in Tucson after losing the Territorial Cup Series four years in a row to Tempe? probably worst year ever for ASU baseball. streak of 54 years with 30+ wins is gone. swept at home by Tucson school. I guess that is what happens when you start 4 freshmen and 2 sophomores. need to see how they do next year before a final decision is made on this coach. I was at the game Friday night and the Tucson pitcher threw a gem. Complete game with only 1 run allowed.

what year did Dodge start making a 2500 with a 6.4?
-
I owned a dodge and had to replace the tranny twice. For that reason I got a GMC 2500 with the 6.0. No problem towing my 24' boat

Congrats Christian to you and your dad! Those are beautiful birds and that area down there is a great place to hunt them.

photography is a skill that is not learned over night. it takes years to learn. part of what you are paying for is all the time spent prior to your event learning their skill. also, your photographer will spend many hours after your event going through and editing the hundreds of pictures that were taken. Just dont forget the old yet accurate saying, "Happy Wife, Happy Life"

just got back from my last trip of the year fishing for yellow tail. 4 of us scored on 55 in 2.5 days of fishing. 15 on day one (half day). 21 in day two and 19 in day three. we let some go, gave some away and still came home with > 200 lbs of fillets. we caught them trolling, jigging and casting lures to fish boiling on the surface. saw sharks, dolphins and a whale. lost several fish to the sea lions. aka taxman. aka stray dogs of the sea. I always tell my friends that when we go to MX you are not allowed to feed the stray dogs otherwise they will not leave you alone. This goes for on land as well as on the water. it was nice and warm down there. a little windy but manageable. Sunday was the nicest day of the weekend but unfortunately we had to come back. officer at the border asked me if I was bringing anything across. I told him some fish. he asked "a little or a lot". I thought real quick to myself that is a dumb question. a little to me might be a lot to someone else. I looked at him a little funny and quickly replied "medium" at which point he asked me how many pounds? I replied about 50. he gave me our passports back and said "have a nice day". MX has a rule that does not make very much sense. supposedly only 50 lbs of fish per vehicle. does not matter if you are alone or if you have a van full of 8 people. it also is a MX law and I do not understand why US officers feel it is necessary to enforce this. anyway, it was > an hour wait at the border to get back across and I do not think he wanted to mess with sending me through inspection. Thank you! the freezer is full!!! we use a wheel barrel to get our fish from the boat to the fillet table. HA

Want to meet the luckiest fisherman in MX? It is this guy! He had engine problems on Saturday so I towed him in. I asked him if he had any fish but he only had a couple little ones. His wife/girlfriend was with him so props to him for bringing her along. We had plenty of fish so we gave him two 15 lb yellowtail. On Sunday he caught this gold phase leopard grouper. From the research I did, only about 1% of leopard groupers go through the color phase transformation. He caught a once in a lifetime fish!! Hopefully he bought a lottery tix when he got back to the us.
