there are some pangas that run from smaller communities north of Puerto Vallarta. < 1 hr drive but will save time in the boat going in/out to fishing grounds means more fishing time for you and may put you within range of a 8 hr panga cow trip

marlas the panga fisherman all belong to a co-op so their rates should all be the same lots of quality inshore fishing and you never know what kind of pelagics may be in close a 1.5 - 3.5 trip would probably be required to catch a big tuna good luck. post up some pics when you get back. tight lines!
